ugh at dealer
I took my car in for 2 things. A1 Maintenence and Subwoofer rattle.
They kept the car overnight because they had to order the seat belt bracket (i think he said there is a TSB out for it) and now the sub works great!
The A1 maintanence however... they did the oilchange (i didnt see a tire rotation).. I thought nothing of it. I sat at home later in the evening lookin at the work order, hmm.. no tire rotation. Then I check the owner's manual.. A1 is Oilchange and tire rotation.
I call the dealer today, and he's like oh you don't need to rotate the tires will 7500-10000 miles. I said, on Owner Link and my manual it says you need to rotate the tires. He "checks", oh you're right sir. Can you bring it in? SO I schedule an appointment, tells me it will take 30 mins (what a load of crap, 10-15 tops). Then I ask him.. how much...
Tire rotation is $46 sir... I think to myself UM WHAT?!?!?! I could do this at home if i had floor jacks!
Finally like the good, although not so smart service department, he said they would do it for free due to the inconvenience.
Next time I'll rotate my tires at Discount Tire (20 bucks)
-1 point for Muller's Woodfield Acura for not knowing the proper maintenance scheduling

Too many dealers just cannot read or follow the lead of the service/owner manual of 2004 TL. Those guys are used to have 2nd Gen. instructions/experiences to serve our cars. :sqnteek:

Three Wheelin'
Please. How many billions a year in business does Honda/Acura do worldwide? The dealership computers should be equipped to automatically inform the service people what is needed for each type of service. They should punch in "2004 TL, A1 service" and it should tell them the tires get rotated. Yes this dealer sounds sloppy but this kind of problem is as much Acura's fault as the dealer's.

If you had your tires recently swapped out before needing the A1 serivce, then the tire rotation might not be necessary. I just had mine in for the A1 service and they didn't do thetire rotation either because I had recently had the original crappy El42s swapped out, so they didn't have anywhere near 8K miles on them yet.
