Type S Paddle Shifters

AFter having my '07 Type S I have intermintently used the paddle shifters. I have noticed that on some of my upshifts the car does not shift gears. Are these paddle shifters sensitive in the fact you have to hit them very solid in a certain spot or the tranny won't upshift. I noticed this on other Type S's I test drove so I know it's not a problem with my car. Thanks

You'll get used to it. Yes - you have to make sure they "click".

There are conditions when the car will ignore your shift requests (either paddle or stalk), but I don't think that's what you're talking about.
