Turn Signal Mirrors

Has anyone added turn signal mirrors to their tl. I have a friend that added it to his car but its the one that's circular and goes onto the existing mirror which I don't like. Very noticeable that its an add on if you ask me. Is their any other types out there.

The brochure says they have integrated mirror signals

I'm a Toyota Solara owner getting ready to purchase a 2005 TL when they come out and the 2004 brochure says that the TL already has integrated turn signals in the door mirrors. I had no idea that this wasn't the case. Anyone else have the brochure? Look in the back where it lists the comprehensive features of the car and under safety it says that is a feature ion the TL. Am I nuts or what? That's kind of a bummer that Acura would list that as a feature and then not put it into the car. It's not like it's a deal breaker or anything, but I was kind of looking forward to that kind of safety feature.

I have the 2004 TL brochure in front of me...it says LED side markers...that's it

Are you sure you're not looking at the TSX brochure instead?

The brochure is wrong. It was updated around November or December to remove reference to turn signal mirrors and OnStar as both did not end up on the final production run of the TL.

Kyle- on the early '04 TL cars, you could go the dealer and on the very window sticker turn signal mirrors were listed as standard, though they were present on the car. It, like the early brochures, was a misprint.

Whew! Thanks for verifying that I'm not nuts. I thought maybe I was seeing things. I wonder why they decided to not put the integrated turn signal mirrors on? Obviously they were trying to maximize profit. (hey I just answered my own question). Maybe the 05's will have them. I know that will piss you 04 owners off.
I am definately looking forward to my new TL though. Looked at the new Solara (boring) Lexus (stodgy) except for the I300, but it's too small. Acura has lots of goodies too! I'm thinking black on black with navi, body kit and if there's anything left the 18" wheels. Can't wait!

It is obvious that Acura cheaped out at the last minute, since the turn signal mirrors are IN the TL sales brochure rear, listed under "safety equipment" - which is what they are.

We have 'em on our TSX, and they are fabulous. For those of you that don't like them, you are being foolish. They are SO MUCH MORE visible, especially from the sides, that they sure to be standard some day soon. With all the drivers driving while NOT paying attention, they greatly increase your odds of being noticed in traffic.

Besides the mirrors in the sales brochure, the window stickers had them in early builds and also rear seat pre-tensioning seat belts (no the tl does not have them).

Also the web site used to (maybe still does) say that the wheels are polished aluminum (not painted) and that the TL has body side molding (not that I want it). There were many mistakes.
