Personal preference. I prefer the lip and i got it on Ebay real cheap, be carefull when doing that though i've heard stories about mis matched paint, not fitting right etc.. mine fit perfectly though and the paint matched perfectly too, got it for less than 100 bucks

Type S lip spoiler, if you can find it for less than an arm and a leg.
I love it on mine, even though I had to drill 7 holes to mount it

I just installed the ebay lip spoiler... in 47 degree weather. I heard you're supposed to wait till its 70+ outside, but it seems to be fine. I couldn't wait!
I received the first spoiler and the paint was mismatched. They sent me another with better matching. I have an Anthracite Metallic so its always hard to match my paint, but it looks good overall.

1) Do I have to be eighteen years old to partake in this discussion?
2) Which LIP is everyone here referring to when using the word "aggressive". Is it the Type-S lip? Or the other (smaller) lip by which can be found as a replica on eBay (ie: thespoilerstore). I would much rather have the Type-S lip if any lip at all, but do recall reading that it is next to impossible to find? ...Thoughts?
Ps. No hijack intended, but I do believe the OP has all the opinions he needs.

Get the Type-S lip from Saronaroofspoilers.com or something like that. It is a type-s replica that doesn't cost $550 or something. All you would have to do is get it painted.

Get the lip spoiler from the "thespoilerstore" from eBay. He is a reputable lip spoiler seller nearly as perfect as OEM. For only 100$ you're getting good quality. If paint isn't perfect, he'll refund the portion of the money so you can paint it yourself, or send it back so you can do it. Great guy.

I like the lip look, or decklid spoiler as I like to call it. But the ones available for the TL now are all too mild. I think there needs to be one with more aggressive look, a bit more flair. So many TLs have this bad ass look going and the trunk lips don't seem to really compliment the look as much as it really could/should.
I finally finished my TSX decklid spoiler. I have had aspirations of making a TL one as well. My next project is the 2g TL roof spoiler. Then after that I think I will tackle the 3g...

I'm kind of torn on this one. Like AckTL05 said, I wish the lip was a little bit more noticeable. Our TL will likely end up getting the wing though because that's what my wife likes and it's her car.

The real question is, do you want to make it look the way everybody else wants it to look, or do you want it to look the way YOU want it to look?
Everybody is going to tell you they like it the way they have their own car set up. Weak minded questions like this are almost as bad as the "Which color should I choose?" questions.

Lip spoiler looks better IMO..
But both are over 300 bucks.. I paid 280 for my front lip and would pay it again in a heartbeat.. but for the lip spoiler 300+ :/

Just get one from "thespoilerstore" on eBay. He has them for $100 painted and at good quality. Many members can vouch... So please whoever is in the market for buying a spoiler, you don't have to waste over $200 buying a OEM lip when you can get the same quality, paint, and everything in between for half or even less for the same material.
