Trunk light enhancements
I have been doing the whole LED lighting thing. I would like to have a bit more lighting in the trunk. Has anybody given these a try:

I purchased a couple to try out. They have these at http://www.superbrightleds.com/index.htm for a little less $, but I liked the selection Autolumination has. They have the clear looking amber bulbs and Xenon Super Whites. There is also alot of great information on bulbs and LEDs in general. http://www.autolumination.com/
p.s. I do not work for either one of these companies, nor are they paying me to pimp there sites.

Has anyone managed to get to the trunk bulb successfully? I have a 9 LED blulb to try out in there, but haven't figured it out yet. The lens starts to come out a little bit on the left side, but only a little bit.
Thanks.
Thanks.

All the service manual says is to carefully pry out the trunk light. It doesn't show where to pull or push, or any tools to use.

no special tool required...just a flat head will work fine
i have replaced mine and if i remember correctly you have to use the flat head and stick it on the right side of the lens and push towards the left side of the car and down towards the bottom of the trunk
and it should come out....
hope that is clear for you

Those utility lights might be nice under the hood when your fumbling for the dipstick to check the oil. Those lights use 3 - 1W Luxeons. There are 3 watt Luxeons available that would be alot brighter especially in a cluster of 3. Might be worth asking them.
Since the trunk is upholstered with a fuzzy molded plastic thing, you may have trouble find ing a surface suitable to stick the self adhesive backings to. The hook side of velcro may grab the fuzzy stuff well enough to secure the lamps which would make them easy to move or remove.
