Tru Bendz products

I was interested in buying a good exhaust system for my car and happened to come across a site called TruBendztechnology.comhttp://www.trubendz.com/products/04-08-acura-tl-dual-exhaust-tubing-2-5-inch-aluminized.htmlthat was selling exhaust systems for $170- $270 price range and when I saw that the first thing I thought immediately was that it's a steal but then again I don't know just how great these exhaust systems are in improving performance and giving you power. Has anybody here ever purchased or has had anybody experience with their products, and if so how would you rate them?

yeah, some ppl have bought from them before.
it's exactly what it is...mandrel bent piping in shape and length for your car...

but you have to add tips and a flange to it...
so, most likely, you're going to spend a lot more to actually get it to fit on your car

thats not what I said.

I said, it comes in the length and shape for your car.

YOU will have to get a exhaust shop to add a flange to it, so that you can bolt it up to the Jpipe.
then the exhaust shop needs to weld tips on it

There's no way adding exhaust tips and a flange would cost 1000 bucks. He can still have an exhaust for a steal of a price.

last time I went to a muffler shop, they had like 25 different exhaust tips on display, and had more available beyond that. You could make a nice looking exhaust. Would it be as nice as ATLP, RV6, or XLR8? No. Definitely not. But for the cost, I don't think you can really go wrong. I wouldn't do it on a new car, but a 10 year old TL? I'd consider it.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, the brands like ATLP, etc., use some high quality stainless steel piping... On a new(er) car? Fuck yeah. Otherwise... All you're doing is preserving it from rusting... Too bad the car itself will likely start rusting before that. Because older Honda.

Trubendz offers stainless steel as well. I think the best part of trubendz is the option to have full 3in, or 3in to the split and 2.5 after. Great for FI cars. In any case, I would suggest the aluminized to save some money over the stainless, and build an exhaust yourself. Sure, if you go to a regular muffler shop it won't be tig welded and look like art, but its under the car - as long as it functions properly and sounds good, I'm cool with it.

Well I spoke to a mechanic at my local meineke shop today and I told him that I found great deals for exhaust systems ranging from $170-$270 and he told me that because they are so cheap they will start to go bad within a year's time and you will start hearing noises from the muffler. I wonder if Trubendz does a good job of eliminating this problem and produce a high quality product?

Trubendz is only selling the pipes! Looks to be the same pipes as included on the Endless RPM exhausts.

No flanges on the front end to connect to Jipipe or on the ends to connect to mufflers!

You will need to supply your own muffler, resonator (if needed) and tips along with flanges.

Mufllers are going to be $100 each, $25 for tips and $25/flange. Going to be spending over $500 all said and done. A shop local to you can do everything cheaper than trubendz.

I would be surprised if most muffler shops can offer a mandrel bent system that is essentially direct fit for anywhere close to tru-bendz price. If you don't need/want or care for stainless, which on these cars why the heck would you considering their value now, you can save quite a bit. Some people may not care about mandrel bent exhaust, but I do.

I also wanted ask a question regarding the sounds that come from the muffler. Does anybody know a good muffler or exhaust system out there that will make an aggressive growl when gas pedal is pushed but at the same time won't take away from the quiet ride inside the interior cabin?
