Trop Artic 5w-20
Has anyone seen this stuff?
It has decent specs and is over 50% GrpIII, and typically costs less than $2/qt.
I think it is quite similar to the MC 5w-20, as that one is also made by Phillips Conocco, I'll have to double check.
If you can get this stuff for <$1.50/qt, it may be the best oil dino out there!

However, you do raise a good point if one can find it on sale, and buy out the stock. I have seen it at Target, and in Chicago a while back, at Greatland. Target also had the great "Car and Driver" oil - anyone have a UOA on that testament to brand marketing?

RR,
I'd have to respectfully disagree with you on this one. Trop Artic is NOT a product marketed for commerical use, though I'd have to say that it is quite difficult to find a reliable supply of the 5w-20 version, thus, if you find it, buy it all.
However, the 5w-30 and 10w-30 are readily avaliable at Walmart for less than a $1.50/qt and are an excellent choice.
As for those other oils, someone said that the Car and Driver oil is made by Shell, but thats unconfirmed.
