Acura sells a trash "holder" that fits in your cup holder. Other than that, there is a small trash bin at the rear end of your armrest (best accessed from the rear seats). Of course, you could pile it up in the door spaces beneath the armrest...

What is trash doing in your car? What sort of trash are we talking about, really? Food wrappers? You shouldn't be eating in the TL. Rocks, lint, random little $hit? It goes out the window. I must be missing something here...

My external trash container
I roll down my window and catch up to a G35 - then toss it right onto their sunroof and downshift into second to complete the pass!

Keep Right Except to Pass
No trash in my car. I do keep some fast-food napkins in the driver's door pocket in case I have to blow my nose or remove a booger or something; in the event I use one, I crumple it up so that the offending substance is on the inside (i.e., will not make contact with a part of the car) and then I stick it in the cupholder with the lid closed. I then remove it and throw it away as soon as I get where I'm going.
Otherwise, no trash in the car. I've never been one to have a messy car. Bottled water is the only sort of food or drink permitted, and then only on road trips. I also will not stop at the fast-food places to bring food home (regardless of whether at the drive-thru or going inside). Funny, I've eaten a good bit less fast food since I got the TL, so that's probably a good thing.

You guys are making me feel embarrased for asking... , but unfortunately I have been on so many Honda boards that go ahead make fun of me for asking a legit question..... , my skin is pretty thick.
In all seriousness, I too don't have trash in my car, c'mon kids I do detailing as a hobbie so imagine me with garbage laying around the car I asked to see if there was a recepticle that would fit nicely in the vehicle for those days that you happen to go on a long trip and maybe have a gum wrapper to dispose of, anyway I thank all your answers and know that if it's true that you guys are as anal about having the interior "free of trash" , call me for a ride anytime

You can always get a tiny plastic receptacles with lid for your car. I have one that I usually leave in one of the rear footrest area. Of course it's only for tissues. No food of any kind is allowed in the TL.

Burning Brakes
My solution is ugly but works well for me. I simply loop a supermarket plastic bag around the center console shifter. I have the 5AT of course. It ain't pretty but it will last me a week until I get gas. I have new ones in my door cubby when I throw out the old bag.

Fast-food comes in a paper bag - garbage goes in paper bag - bag goes in garbage can when you park your car.
Napkins/Tissues/Wipes - keep a plastic bag in your console and throw the stuff into the bag - throw bag into garbage can when you park your car.
I would say public garbage cans are readily available throughout the nation. There's always one close by wherever you go.

I definately need a garbage can for those things you don't want lying around until the next station or stop.
Here's what I came up with after searching high and low. The colors are a better match than the pics might lead you to believe.

I have a nice black "pleather" bag that fits perfectly in the drivers side door pocket. I've had this for years. I mostly put tissues and gum wrappers in it.
Triggle... How does that garbage can stay put in the back of the car? Weights? Velcro?

triggle,
let us know where ya got it, it's name, so we can get them.
in my passat i had a thick plastic garbage bag that looped over the passenger headrest. my passat is gone and so is the bag. i worked well, and i kept plastic bags that i stuck in there so that messy stuff wouldn't stick to the pleather thang.
triggle's container looks good too, altho you'd have to move it if ya had 3 peeps with you in the back. doesn't happen often for me tho.
