All these Acura dealers ever do is tell you how easy it is to "trade up" and during your lease. I am two years into my lease on a 03 Type S and I cannot trade up to the 04 without having negative equity. Does anyone know any tricks or ways to get out of the lease early?

 

Since a new model came out, your gonna be upside down on your car for the most part of the lease now. i would ride it out ntil the end, or pay out the rest of your lease if you want the new Tl that bad. If you dont mind me asking, what do you owe on your car, how many miles, navi or no, and i can tell you how upside down you are.

 

Wierd...I had an 01 CL with lots of miles and I was only 2 years into my lease...I check the of the car (KBB) vs. the remaining payments, and I came out even. I paid nothing more on the old car, despite the fact that they are not even made anymore.

 

I have a 03 with 20,000 Miles my payoff is 25,000(which is high god knows what goes into my montly payments but only around 220 of 390 every month actually goes towards paying down the car!)

The problem I have was the BS I got from my dealer when I bought the car about the "Key For Key" program. They advertise
"If you are leasing a current acura and would like to get into a new acura of similar value, turn in your keys and we will keep you within 20 dolars of your payment" There was no fine print. They even talk about it when they keep you on HOLD.

This is a bunch of bull. I would have to pay 500 a month for the new TL with 2000 out of pocket. The Key for Key is false advertising.
