why does the wife get the fun car? thats a pretty big sacrifice, even if you were going from a tl-s to an '03 Z. cr-v is a good car, but a huge change from a tl-s. good luck!

We'll frankly, she deserves it. She's a hard working woman and has some health issues that doesn't slow her down. She takes great care of me too. Boy if you can only taste her cooking...... I'm sure I'll get to drive it from time to time......

Make sure you have a camera set up in the garage to capture the entire surprise. It would serve as a great memory ...

Hey Andrew. They gave me 27K on the trade. I paid 32k new. So, not a bad deal. The TL really holds it's value.

Flash back about 6 months. Our 96 Voyager minivan gave up the ghost. She was good while she lasted. Since then we've been getting by with only the TL-S. But it was a pain. If the wife needed the car, she had to come into work with me and pick me up that afternoon. I might add, work starts at 7am and she hated getting up so early.

My wife is on vacation visiting her family for a few weeks. So this gave me time to car shop. She gets home the day before her birthday. I wanted this to be a surprise for her. Her favorite car model is the Corvette. I couldn't afford that but she also likes the 350Z (so do I). So I found a used 350Z in excellent condition for her. Her name starts with the letter "Z" and her nick name is "Z". So I thougt this would be the perfect car and gift for her. I plan to put a Z front license plate and the dealership is looking for a big bow to wrap it in. The car will be in the garage. I have to pick her up at the airport. When we get back, I'll just open the garage and watch the expression on her face. Can't wait!

I also picked up the 2nd vehicle for myself. It's a Honda CR-V. Had to be practical with this one. We do a bit of yard work and such, so need the CR-V to haul things in. No way your going to haul much in a 350Z. The CR-V is pretty nice and has a few bells and whistles.

Of course I'll still hang around here, as my heart is still in Acura's. Perhaps one day I'll be able to get another one.
Your a Nice husband
I did the same thing got her an MDX and all got in return was thanks and peck on the lips. Hopefully you can get better return like a piece of azz or something lol gl.

The Z looks gorgeous, she is gonna be so happy when she sees it. I surprise my wife with some flowers, new shoes or a freshly prepared dinner and she goes crazy, I can't imagine something like this haha

Now that is nice as well. She'll remember that for a long time. Your brave with the shoes, as there's always a chance they don't fit or they are not her style. Glad it all worked out for your two though.

Well, payments were kinda high on the 08 TL-S at about $608 a month. So, I managed to get both the 06 CR-V and the 03 350Z for just a tad more. But you can't put a price on the convenience of having two vehicles.

BTW, my wife's nick name is "Z".........

That is one awesome surprise - can't wait to hear how she reacts!
My b-day is on the 27th, and it would be nice to get a 350Z from my wife, however she already thinks I have too many toys. And if it was the other way around and I got her one, she would instantly assume it was one of those "gifts" like a new boat, meaning really for me

Haha.......... I hope my wife doesn't think that.

She is in Orlando tonight. Either meeting her in Daytona tomorrow or going to get her in Orlando on Wednesday. Not sure what she wants to do yet. The anticipation is killing me.........

Well, look at our age difference. When I was your age, I was running around dating and having a great time. Don't rush things. I've known my wife for 30 years and we've been married for 28.
