Top Speed

wow, i thought i was the only psycho getting my TL up to 145 (out ran a state trooper), now i realize its not just me ;-). It's governed at 155mph, still waiting to be able to hit the 155 but since i just got my bumper re-painted after peeling paint i'm going to wait until my clear bra install next month.

I was actually just talking about this. In the TL I've only done 115; it seems to lose it's power after about 110 and starts sloooowwwwiiinnnggg down. My GS-R is a totally different story. The TL would kill it off the line (or so it seems, have yet to test the theory) but after 80 or so the GS-R is pure speed. I've had it to 158 and it didn't take it that long to get it there.

you ever think about trying any of that crap on a track?

theres no tracks that are that long unless u wanna go to the autobahn ussually tracks are for 1/4 mile or lap times not a 5 mile straight to hit the top speed on so till then ima be on the freeway at 2 in the morning but if your scared youll see my bright zenon headlights and you can exit !

If the speedo says 160 - I expect to be able to go that fast. I would expect this from a rented jetski or snowmobile, but not my own car.
Is this really true - not just for the TL, but other cars. Someone said GM I think?

speedo marked 152mph...RSX type S i was racing was half a car length next
next to me...and no he did not pass me... i guess he topped out but I was dammed if I was going to let a RSX abuse me like that The TL handled very safely and stable with the maneuvers I did... My baby has a heart of a Cobra... except WAAAAAAYYY better looking

Three Wheelin'
The fastest I've had my 3G TL is 115 on a trip to Miami. I got to that speed then quickly decided to slow down. I don't plan on EVER doing that again! I just don't feel comfortable going those speeds anymore when I think about the things that can go wrong.
I recall having my 1990 Accord at an indicated 110 mph for a good stretch of I-75 on my way back home from college a few years back. That was back when I still felt like I was invincible.
