Why? RSX-s aren't all that quick stock. With bolt ons/tune that's a different story, but not stock.

I can't see the video but if it was a stock 6 speed TL vs a Type S, the TL should walk it with ease. 5AT TL vs RSX-s stock should be a good run.

That is one of our members videos. And I believe the TL beat the RSX-S. However they run similar 1/4 mile times with equal drivers. I'd even give the advantage to the RSX-S with a great driver since I have seen some of the 05+ RSX-S run 14.7's stock. Great drivers race!

It does appear that way. I don't know if the TL let off or not once he was ahead, but I remember seeing the original thread from the TL guy in the video and he stated he beat the RSX. Whether it is true or not is a different story.

Oh hai. lol

That's my old TL. I stayed ahead the whole time and pull him even harder from a 30 roll. .

I pulled a couple I/E 05-06 Type-S's in my old 5AT. I'd always run 'em on the highway from 55mph in 2nd gear and they'd always be loud as hell but I'd be steady pulling away. . Usually about a car or two consistently.

I had an 05 rsx-s and i can surely tell you that car needs a good driver. When i first got the car i couldn't break into the 6's 0-60. launching needs to be perfect. knowing tons of rsx buddies i made from my old forum, most guy can't launch that car. Stock that car lights of the tires really easy. but by the time i had it perfect, i was getting around 6 flat to 60 stock. When i was done with the car i was getting 5 flat to 60, with a hondata reflash, full comptech system with aem v2 and some weight reduction of things you see, spare tire etc. Best i ran with that car a 13.8. I used to walk my buddies stock TL-S all the time. Then we would switch cars and from a dig to 160km we were dead even.

So after my life story i agree, RSX-S vs TL 6spd and even a TL-S is purely a drivers race.

oh also, rsx looked like it was in front at the beginning but i think that hill played a factor and when push came to shove the tl took its troque to the bank and left the rsx.

5.0 0-60 yet pulling 13.8s? Hmm....doesn't sound right to me. If you were doing 5 flat 0-60 you should be in the low 13s with that car.

I disagree. Both cars being stock, a TL or TL-s 6 speed should pull the RSX quite easily. Once modded it becomes a much closer gap. A bolt on/tuned RSX should be about even with a bolt on 6MT TL. Throw a tune on the TL and it should walk the RSX. With that said the RSX is very impressive for a small 2.0 when tuned.

.
Ill have to agree with sonnick on this one. A drivers race yes, because not everyone knows how to drive stick to its full potential, but with equal drivers a TL 6spd, TL-S auto and TL-S 6MT should pull a stock 05 RSX-S. A base TL on the other hand is slightly slower with equal drivers against a 05 RSX-S

I'm confused. The RSX seems to be even or slightly ahead in that video.

Yes mid-high 13 is about right for that car. Not very good top end. Highway run a tl would ruin an rsx. The guys who supercharged the rsx's were doing low 13's very few actually breaking 13. I'd get most racing off the start then depending how much faster the car I was racing then me was he would pull me and either run side by side or they would pull on me and when they caught me they's walk me. Great accelerations from that little car. Just not a great car for high speed runs.
