Jack, you're planning on getting both? Best of luck finding a manual Type S. They're tough to find.

RSX is the biggest girl car ever...well that and the Eclipse. Get a manual Type S for sure...and nothing else, or if you need to buy two cars for whatever reason get an SUV or something. Why two cars that sort of do the same thing? Atleast with an SUV you get some utility I guess.

^^^have fun with that. The Type S manual is one of the most difficult manuals I have ever driven/owned. Eventually you figure it out, but even afters years of having a manual Type S starting from a stop and sometimes going into second will always get you from time to time lol. Very finicky clutch and throttle to work together. I still love it though. Cost for clutch replacement from an Acura dealership from run you maybe 8-900 bones without replacing pressure plate.

Yeah, don't get an RSX. It was an improvement on the Integra, but it was still the poor man's Acura. A Civic Si from the same year would have the same power. The Civic would even have a lsd, which the RSX didn't have and will be cheaper.

Guys he's not asking if he should get one or the other. He's asking which one should he get in manual, he's getting both of them.
I don't who told you this, but the 05 Civic Si is not the same compared to the 05 model RSX-S.
They're both 2.0L. The RSX puts down over a full second ahead on the 1/4 mile vs the 05 Si. The SI is powered by the K20A3, not the Z1 found in the type-s.
No the 05 Si did not have an LSD and neither did the USDM RSXs.
I don't understand the comment about it being a poor man's Acura either. The RSX-S was a sports car trim above the Si, and it retailed to almost $30k fully loaded. Your comment oozes pretentiousness. Customers didn't "settle" for an RSX, they bought one because they're sports cars of a higher quality and aesthetic compared to their Honda counterparts.

RSX is kind of small and I would not drive it for that reason alone. Very low to the road and just not my cup of tea. IF you are going to use the TL-S as a daily driver and you live anywhere around traffic, pass on the manual and get the auto...

Performance and interior quality were so close between the two cars that 2006 was the last year they offered the RSX, because the new Civic was built almost on par with it.
Perhaps I'll rephrase my comment. It was the "frugal" man's Acura. The RSX was the most inexpensive Acura you could get, that still had the emblem on the hood. I thought that 13 years ago, and I still do today.
And the '06 si also had a LSD.
