TL Short Changed On Accesories?

I just noticed that the TSX has available as OEM accesories:

- Drop Down rear seat DVD system
- Metallic Trim Steering wheel
- Metal Look Interior Trim
- Two 17" Wheel Options

The wheels, I could understand they might not make available for the TL due to offset, etc, but the other 3, why not?

None of those items are available as OEM accesories for the RDX or RL either. The in car DVD, you'd think, would at least be an option for the RDX.

Any ideas on what the story is on this?

'cause it's not a suburban =p

Good question though.. For some reason I can't picture a drop down DVD player in the TL; doesn't seem like it belongs in the TL. Maybe it's got something to do with the roof supports and sunroof setup?

The metallic trim steering wheel - isn't that in the A-Spec package?

Metal look interior trim - the TL already has that.. I prefer the metallic/faux CF and metallic/faux wood vs. a full metal trim

Wheels.. bleh.. most people who aren't happy with the OEMs aren't going to go for another set of OEMs right ?

If you can't picture drop down DVD in a TL, think about it in a TSX .... ? Both have a Moonroof standard so I don't know if that'd cause the difference. Just seemed odd to me that of all the line-up only the TSX got this as an option (besides the MDX which has built-in DVD as a factory package/option).

The Metallic look interior trim (on the TSX) is a kind of brushed aluminum look on the center console "pop up" door covers. It's go well with TL's Brushed Aluminum Door Handles.

The Tl does infact offer a carbon fiber kit for around the cup holders, seat heater buttons and rear a/c console vents. But yes nothing much interior wise for accessories!

The DVD is because it is offered on the Accords in Europe. The TSX has more offered because it is the Accord everywhere else in the world.
