Just bought 05 TL yesterday

You may want to wait until the end of the month, before you buy a new car. I just started shopping for a TL yesterday (12/31/05). I got such a good price that I had to purchase, and take delivery same day. I am pretty confident that I got a very good price due the it being the last day of the month/year.
Also, you may want to use a buying service, such as from AAA or BJs. I did to get the negotiations started.

pilozm,

I went to sleep thinking I would wake up the next day, and the first thing I read, someone bought a car on 12/31/05. LOL

So what deal did you get?

As for navigation, wait 'till one comes back in stock. I've got nav and it IS worth the extra $$$.

So, you're parents are helping you to get the TL........ Might they want to adopt me? LOL!!!!!!!!

Navigation is very useful, more importantly it helps the TL to hold it's value.

Contrary to popular opinion, I got this good deal at Paragon Acura. I think the fact that it was last day of year, and that I was willing to take delivery same day, helped me bag this good deal.

I agree, you did get a good deal. Most dealers try to make some money off financing.... I got 4.1% and paid $32,873 and the difference between the 2.9 and 4.1 is probably equal to the difference we paid in price....

but, in the end i also didnt pay the $181 for my plates due to a dealer error

Wow. That sucks. The TL is a nicer car anyways though. Not as nimble as the TSX, but still nicer. (I had a TSX)

Did your tsx have navi? (This is my last questiona bout it, im done highjacking your thread) but my point here being - if you did, you will DEFFINATELY miss the navi if you don't get it...and I would highly reccomend spending the extra money on the navi.

I could not agree more with vikrampatel, though. Wait until you fins a Navi car. Especially since you've already had it. You get the solar sensing climate control as well as the trip computer. Maybe the non-navis have a trip computer too.

I'm a mom, and LOVE the Navi! If your mom is EVER going to drive your car or even if she isn't, tell her that it is well worth it! You're a lucky guy, my teenager isn't going to get a TL! I think I'll get him a Taurus or some other ugly, slow sedan when he's 17! LOL

I think getting a cheap, safe car is a good choice for a teenager. So that when they do make mistakes (drive over a curb, back into a wall, etc...), it isn't gonna cost an arm and a leg to fix nor will it envy complex in other teens (who may decide to trash the car in a fit of jealousy).

(But, it's every teen's dream to have a hot car.....)

wow that sucks however you will be MUCH happier with a TL than a TSX

i as given a TSX as a loaner and it made me miss my 02 TLS so much
