ok... I wasn't really gonna race this guy but I did after he had his highbeams on my ass for the whole time while he was driving behind me.

Anyways... not sure what car model it is... but its a hard top volvo, 2door coupe, with metalic orange paint. I checked online to find this car but i could only find a convertible top volvo C70.

Anyways.. as i was driving fast around a few parts of a curvey road, i see this guy flooring it pass me and cutting me off... then slams on the brakes in front of me.

That got me choked... i had to swerve to dodge him .

anyways... we end up at a light down the block.

he rolls the down his window and He looks at me with total confidence.
Then he says to me..." I'll destroy ya".... then i told him... btw your highbeams are on. he ignores me....

... while we were talkin, we missed the green light.... so he told me to GO.... and so i floored it ...spinning my tires... and left him behind for the whole time with about 4 car lengths. at the middle of 3rd gear i lost him... he must've turned off to another street after talking shit and losing to me.

At first i thought that his 2 door couple might beat my 4 door sedan and that he had rear wheel drive...

but I guess I was lucky that i had a good jump.

anybody know how fast these things are? I'm just laughing that he said " I'll destroy you!!!!!!......

S60 2.4T 0-60 is 7.5 not that fast, S60 T5 0-60 is 7 for AT and 6.6 for MT pretty quick, S70 T5 is 0-60 in 6.4 quick. tl-s stock is 0-60 in 6.2 even quicker, you could beat any S60 or S70 out there. BTW that guys must have been a fucking asshole, I would told him to go fuck himself and then beat his ass in my 99 tl.

My friends dad has an S60R AT, 300hp. Well, I was in our TL-S and my friend in the S60R. Had I had the grippy Falkens on when I tried it, it might have been better. He got about 1.5 cars on the TL to 65mph or so.

He informed me that he raced a new TL the other day, I'm guessing MT, because he said that he was even with it up to about 70 or 80 mph.

 

that's right i forgot about the S60R, those are rare though.

 

yeah..lucky it was not the S60 R... although i've seen my first 260R on that day i raced.

S60R is a waste of money, yes the engine is gorgeous with the turbos but for the interior its not worth the almost 50k that you pay. the interior is disgusting. nice seats tho

 

my mom has a S60 2.4T i want to race her because she keeps talking shit about my car i think i will completley destroy her

i have a friend who has the s60 T5. i believe its an allwheeldrive coupe.
my 99TL-P with headers, intake, exhaust, pulleys got ahead of him without much effort. i dont think its all that great either. he spent like $40k+ for that and it couldnt even keep up with me. i dont know but its really not worth what they charge you. not because of the acceleration but the interior is so plain, bland, and doesnt look so rich.
i guess that wad of money goes into its "safety"

My buddy has a s60R and recently got his ECU re-flashed...the thing is ridiculuosly fast...power curves are unreal...Nice Kill tho man
