TL-S vs Pontiac G8 GT Race
So i raced (my Acura) against 09' Pontiac G8 GT 6.0 Liter v8 361 hp & 385 Lbs of torque @ Wisconsin Dells and beat it the first time by about 1.5 car lengths the 2nd time Held next to it up untill about 110mph and he started pulling. I'm Pretty Impressed (so was he), i thought i would get smoked! Guess not

Damn, that's impressive. Those cars run low 13s @ 105ish. You ran from a dig or roll?

You guys need to run at the track. I have a feeling this particular G8 GT would probably post a 14 flat @ 101mph...which means something's amiss with that G8 or (more likely) the driver.

Pontiac has the auto G8 GT listed at 13.8@101 mph. It weighs 400 and 500 lbs. more than a TLS, stick and auto. The OP's TLS might be an auto but it makes the power of a 6MT. No doubt a close race and a nice kill.

i ran a 13.622 at 101.58 with a 95 z28
i figured it would give me a run for my money but i was kind of disappointed with the g8's time how much horsepower do they have
i know they are kind of heavy

I don't see many TL-S auto's posting 1/4 times.. I'm sure there's some potential high 13's TL-S autos already.. As soon as i get the new ATLP exhaust/ big bore tb/drag radicals to go along with my pre cat deletes/j & race pipes/ur pulley & CAI I should be there(hopefully!)

With that much power I can see him getting into the 13s for sure. Someone on here (peternguyen I think?) ran a 14.02 @ 102 with an auto TL-s with similar mods, if not less. Sheeyit, now with my tires I should definitely be in the 13s and I have less than 230whp!

I hope you didn't take that wrong Alex it didn't mean my car is the fastest thing. I meant with that much more power he should be close to 13s under good conditions.

I went last Wedsnesday..knowing it may rain..and of course, about 10 minutes away from Etown it started raining. I doubt I'll be able to go this week since I'm studying for my damn tests

GT needed a driver mod for sure! Those GT's are mid to high 13 second cars and break into the high 12s with just exhaust/heads/CAI and a tune! race Ol boy in the G8 GT in about 6 months and the outcome will be alot worse...

Nice car. A friend of mine bought a CTS/V in '05 I believe and it had a bigger cam in it before the odometer had 1,000 miles on it.

OP im not saying I dont believe you. If you did actually take it then good kill. Its like comparing a 4cyl corolla to a 6cyl camry. The numbers just dont add up, theres one explanation. The driver had no idea what the hell they were doing. The G8 has a 100 HP on you, im just putting two and two together. BTW If you hit 13'z on da 1/4 mile with your vehicle & mods, theres a bill with your name on it.
