TL-S vs. G35 Sedan

well i had an encounter with a G35 sedan tonite. I was just cruising doing like 60mph when i see HIDs coming up real fast in my lane. This guy pulls up to my bumper and cuts lanes. I'm like WTF, there was no need for that since there was only a few cars on the road. As soon as he passed me I got on his ass. He floored it while we were in the left lane. I stayed right on his ass and i kept letting off the gas so he'd start pulling, give him false sense of hope. We finally managed to catch a light. I turned off my VSA and revved it a few times to let him kno whats up. I revved it to 1,500 RPM and got ready for the light to turn green. We took off as soon as the light turned green and we were neck and neck till i hit VTEC. Once i hit 2nd i pulled half a car, and i jus kept pullin. Once i hit 3rd i had a car on him. I could tell he was suprised cause he gave me a blank stare once I slowed down and he pulled up. I thought it was a good kill, this was the first time i got to really race a G35 Sedan.

not bad, those are fast cars. I just test drove a G35 coupe yesterday and it felt like it could edge out my TL-S. But the sedans are a tad slower, plus many are automatics.

If only I didn't have a bad taste in my mouth from my 02 Maxima falling apart at 75,000 miles, I really really like the G35 coupe

Hmm... Nice Kill... Hard to believe, nice nonetheless.

What mods do you have again? Just CAI and Pulleys?

Seems like you do alot of racing up in CT, I have a friend in Law School from CT who has a GTI who said it was popular out there.

But anyhow, don't expect to beat every single G35 whether it be Sedan or Coupe. I have a TL-S with I/H/P/E, and I love my car, but it isn't that fast.

I owned a 05 G35 Sedan 6mt, and hate to say, it would own a TL-S/CL-S for that matter. 13.7 at 101 mph I have run in it.

Yeah, no doubt that you know how to drive your TL bro. You've beaten pretty much everything I've beaten.

Get yourself some headers, it was the best investment I made next to pulleys. It gives a pretty decent amout of power.

I may have asked before but, what types of problems are you having with your 5.5G?

Yeah right, Russ On G35driver.com, you said you never ran your 05 G35 sedan and that the 1/4 mile was a waste of time and that road racing is where real racers can be found. You always made excuses as to why you never ran your 05. Your 04 6MT ran 14.3s. I know that for a fact. Unless you can produce a slip, I don't believe your 13.7@101mph. Or was the slip on your hard drive that mysteriously crashed which took all your dynos....which interestingly are starting to be posted on this site.

You need to go to the track and get some numbers. I'm curious.
