TL-P vs CTS
Hey guys. I have a story of a race to share with you. I raced my friends CTS with the 3.6L engine. We went from a dig at a stop light at night with no traffic around. I thought he would get the jump with his rear wheel drive but I actually jumped and had him at my front door and started pulling just slightly through 1st and 2nd gears but when I was in 3rd IN VTEC he started pulling on me and he shut it down when I was at his drivers door. I brake torqued and was gate shifting but we didn't go fast enough for me to hit 4th gear which is a good thing because then I would have lost even worse. Both cars had only drivers in them and he is stock vs my car with just a CAI. I have a feeling that if I had headers it might have been a different outcome.
Here are the specs for the Cadillac:
HP: 255 @ 6200 RPM
TQ: 252 @ 3100 RPM
Curb weight: 3509
I'm happy with my results.

Well that's why it's in capital letters in my story. I always thought that if i'm just in that power range I'd be able to use the full potential of my car but I guess my full potential wasn't fast enough. lol I'm just a bit bummed because I did everything correctly, brake torqued, had a good launch with little to no wheel spin, gate shifted at the right rpm points, I was certain I would keep pulling ahead until he started to slowly reel me in. ahhh... got to get those headers...
