TL owners from Washington State

I went to the dealership yesturday and was ready to buy. The price that I was willing to pay was $34,150 and they said that they would be willing to let it go for $34,300. Well today I got call from the guy I was talking to and he said he could let it go for $34,250.

My question is what's the likelyhood of them bringing it down to what I'm willing to pay. Also if any of the TL owners of Washington have gotten their car at a lower price then my quote.

BTW...this is for either a WDP with Quartz or Black on Black, both auto with navi. Another thing is the car is not in stock at that dealership and they had to order it.

You must be kidding. I don't believe you're asking that. I don't think they'll let this deal slip through their fingers for $100.

Gotta agree. Like the new Chrysler 300C/Hemi (with a $9995 premium), these guys aren't about to let a hot car go our the doors cheap. I got mine in Fife and got what I thought was a great deal, though not as low as you've been working on.

Good luck if you can get it!

So is $34,150 an outrageous price to ask for? If they can bring it down to $34,250, is another $100 a lot to ask for?

I went to the in fife and those sales people didn't make me feel welcome at all. The quoted price is from acura of seattle.

Are you saying they should have dropped $100 to close the deal or I should have put in $100 to close the deal?

I bought mine at Fife also...31,500 (6MT, no navi). The guy I dealt with was no brain surgeon, but he was cool and got me a good price (I think).

got my TL at Acura of Bellevue, had to order. 5at/body kit/no nav. i was able to lower the price by $800 only

So i'm guessing with navi it would have cost you $33,500? Or would they have added more because it came Navi?

With or with out navi I think you got a pretty good deal.

Acura of Bellevue quoted me $34,800 for WDP/Quartz Navi Auto which is about $500 more than Acura of Seattle. Is this a pretty good deal?

It was a pretty good deal, but I am sure they could get more than 33500 for a Navi...the demand drives up the price of that option. Plus, mine was sitting there ready to go so they didn't have to order it or anything.

I paid MSRP ($35k) at Acura of Bellevue, and had to order it. They didn't have a single navi car on the lot at the time (early Feb). They wouldn't budge on price, but I got very good trade-in on my '02 TL Type-S. Overall, I was happy with the deal. I suppose if I would have pulled the "walk away from the deal" trick I might have saved a few hundred bucks, but I wanted to get in that order queue. Car was delivered mid-March.

So the average amount in Washington would be around msrp? Give or take a couple hundred dollars. I'm just trying to figure out what kind of numbers I can work with.

AngryAndy 05-10-2004 08:23 PM

go buy in oregon and have them pay for the train ticket. lol.. thats what my friend did and he said he saved mucho, dunno exact number

Wow!Sounds like everyone got a good deal on their 04' TL.I paid a total out the door k35.4 BLK/BLK Auto no navi in Fife.My girl and i tried to play hard for k34.5 and they refused to sell and then tried to sell us a TSX.

I got my 04 SSM from Acura of Seattle at Southcenter and they were about $500 below Bellevue and also gave me a better deal on the trade. Bellevue also tries to add after market accessories, thus raising the cost needlessly.

I personally think Acura of Seattle is a Much better dealer.

To Update on my thread:

I went into Acura of Seattle because they called me in and I would not budge on my price that I had earlier and they finally caved in. It was placed on order and should be here in about two weeks.

Thanks to everyone who shared.

Congrats. You'll love the car no matter where you get it from. :D
