TL fastest growing car in "near-luxury" segment
June Motor Trend (p. 44) lists the top sellers in the segment for the October thru February period.
Sales for the TL went from 19,529 (Oct '02-Feb '03) to 28,802 (Oct '03-Feb '04), representing 47% growth. The TL is a close #3 behind the Lexus ES330 (#2 @ 29,109) and BMW 3 Series (#1 @ 40,955).
Motor Trend specifies that the latest period (Oct '03-Feb '04) lists sales for the 2004 model, so these figures shouldn't include the sale of any '03 3.2TLs.
What's interesting is that the TSX (#17) sold only 3,829 units during this period.
Please don't ask me to scan this article in as I don't have one!
