can u put tints on a leased car...if you can, can someone tell me what is the law for NYC on tints meaning what percentage is allowed upto? and any good prices I should stay around... thanx

You should be able to and I believe there are members who have done it ..... although you might wanna check with the company and see what stipulations there are in the contract. Check Tint Laws

 

i think ny state law is 30% or 35%. the place where you are going to get the tint would know for sure.

 

I have tints on my car and its leased. The only problem is you may have to have the tint removed before you return the car. Just depends on your dealer.

 

I am on my 2nd leased TL with tinted windows. Just make sure you have quality tint done by a quality shop and within state specs and it should be no problem. I didn't have to take the tint off when I took the first one back, but then again it depends on how good it was applied and the quality of the tint itself
