tint ticket question

tint ticket question
So I got pulled over by a state trooper on the way back to cornell on 81-N and the meter said my tints were 16 visibility, under the NY minimum of 70. lol. He gave me a ticket without a fine; there's no way to fight this since tints are illegal esp in NY so what happens if I plead guilty? Do I just get a fine? There's no reason for me to plead not guilty right?

FTW
I think if you got a NY ticket, you need to plea guilty, then they send you another ticket with the fine amount. My buddy got ticketed in NY and I think thats what he ended up doing.

Dumb question - is your car is registered in NY?
If not, then I don't think they have any basis to ticket you.
Otherwise GL with the draconian NY tint laws.

Heres a few options:
pay the fine
Go to a tint shop either have the tint removed and have it photographed (date stamped) and show it to the judge and it will probably be thrown out. (obviously you can get the tint back on) In virginia they have new laws and I have heard of people getting $1000 fines for illegal tint but they have like 14 days to have it removed with a valid receipt for a reduced fine. Not sure what the NY fines can add up too.
If you have connections at the tint shop you can always have them give you a receipt for tint removal (slide them a couple bones under the table) and this might be enough to have it tossed out of court. My shop told me if I get a ticket they will be happily to write be a reciept showing it was removed.. If I need to have it actually removed and put back on they will charge me $100 for the whole job

what color is the ticket? make sure its not a FIX IT ticket. what that is, is that u have to remove the tint and go to a police station and have one of the officers do a check on your car. then they will write it off.
when i got pull over i had to go to court and then pay a fine.
