Haven't been on this board for some time now. I am ready to purchase a TL for my wife in the next month or 2, and I remember reading that tint may affect the Nav. system.

Is there a tint that does not affect the Nav.?

I am in the Bay Area, CA. Please recommend a shop if possible, thanks!:o

 

Hi Moodie. I think the post in question had to do with a portable GPS placed inside the car. I'm pretty sure that the built-in GPS has an external antenna. So I don't think that the window tinting will be a problem. Good luck with your car! I'm hoping mine arrives within the next several weeks.

 

GPS is NOT external it is under the parcel tray behind the seats (detailed in manual). There ae many which are fine I am sure but I can tell you Llumar Titanium is problem free and has been for me since November.
