Tint shops around here offer 5, 15, 35, and 50.

I was considering 15 v. 35. My previous car, a 99 avenger, had 15% all around and it looked nice, but a little 'ghetto-ish' at times. It had a dark grey interior.

Now with a nicer car, I was considering going a little lighter to hopefully avoid making the car look trashy. I have CBP with Type-S Wheels, and I'm afraid dark tint will magnify the darkness of everything else on my car.

I also heard that a taupe interior will make the tint much, much lighter.

Are there any comparison pictures out there to help with my decision? Thanks

My type S is CBP and I went with SC legal ~27%. To me any darker makes the car look "tinted" which can be great on a black car maybe a white car but on this one i think creates too much contrast. If i can figure out how to post a picture I will. I have a photobucket account just got reset passwords etc. more coming.

Just go 35% all around it looks the classiest on the TL.

35% seems too light and 15% seems too dark. Only thing around here that is offered.

I want 25%...blah.

That looks awesome, do you have any side-view photos that I could better gauge the tint-level?

Also, do you know what type of tint it was beyond the % ?

Off hand, I do not remember which brand of tint it is...I do not have radio interference on the rear window. Pretty damn happy with it...

I went with 50/35 sides/rear window due to the legal limits in VA.

IMO I think 35% all around looks perfect on the TL.

Yeah, 35% looks perfect there...I just heard that the taupe interior makes 35% not even worthwhile, hence the point of this thread. Apparently not the case.
