My Acura 03 has about 170 on it, and is in major need of work. Two questions, would the 105 kit work for me, or would I really need the full kit? Also, I am planning on getting the spark plugs, so how many hours in labor does this process usually require?

I have been reading and keeping an eye on this for sometime now. I see soo many different packages offered and i am confused
What do i need for 2005 TL with 47k currently?
I changed the drive belt and the 2 pulleys because of that chirp sound.

I would go for the full kit with 170k its about 491.00 shipped and you can add items or leave them off . Iam not sure on the labor i would assume 4 hrs.

You should check with a tech to see what they recommend. I will give the Best deal on oem Parts though.

Do you have a set "end" date for this deal?

I'm at 93k miles but i don't need the kit, but would like to buy a kit before it expires to have on hand.

This would include the timing belt idler, thermostat ,cam seals, front crank seal, valve cover gaskets, plugs and spark plug tube seals. This would be added to the existing timing belt kit we already offer and total would be 491.00 SHIPPED. Again, the crucial timing belt parts are in the original kit but these additional parts are cheap "while you are in there" parts that would be easy to install while the timing belt is off. And if you haven't changed your plugs by 105k it is time.

I have an '07 Type S and am looking to have the dealer do the TSB for the shim for the timing belt and figured I might as well have him go ahead and do the full timing belt replacement. How much for the timing belt kit on an '07 type S (and what is included)? I only have 60k mi on the car... would you recommend replacing anything else at the same time? Thanks!

This is the same kit as the other 3rd gen TL's and is $321 shipped as well. Sorry for the price bump but we have been selling these kits for like 5 years now and we just had to allow for the bumps that Acura has imposed on us. As far as the 60k goes, you may want to consider replacing your air filters but that is about it besides fluids (atf, oil).

You can do this deal but you are taking a huge risk. When doing this job you REALLY should replace the two tensioners as well that list for over $100 each. I'm surprised a dealer would even offer to do this job without those tensioners. Expecting those tensioners to last 210,000 miles is optimistic to say the least. I could give you a quote for just those 3 parts, but buyer beware.

Here is the kit i bought and just recently had installed in my 3g back in Sept. The only extra parts i needed was Honda Coolant, Honda thermostat and upper and lower radiator hoses which totaled out to be alittle over 400. The seller is a Parts Supply Vendor and has 99.9% feedback at over 8k items sold. Just trying to throw some options out there for you guys.

The Hamilton Honda Dealership Will Recommend as additional parts to purchase.

The Tensioner
spark plugs.
and coolant
thermostat

BUT Really to get your timing Belt service. usually costs. $700- $1200 parts and labor,

I think $400 plus some additional parts Would be a great price.

Sorry I did not realize you are a parts Vendor.

Your selling people the necessary parts for a timing belt job, but whoever the mechanic maybe- they take your parts to They will not Warranty there work with your parts.

FOR LOCAL east coast guys.
If you live near Hamilton HOnda, You are getting parts and Labor installation of the Timing belt job.

If some parts are not listed You simply suggest the tensioners and spark plugs for example to add that to the job.

Unless You are installing the timing belt components yourself. then your deal is just fine.

I would OPT for a mechanic to do the work and warranty my work , especially a HOnda / or Acura Dealer.
Remember guys our cars are just Hondas. with better looks

Hello, If you have a 3rd gen TL you would get five items.
A waterpump ,timingbelt ,two tensioners and the drive belt.
The price is 321.00 shipped due to our increase in the cost of the parts. All parts are OEM . Please feel free to call me @ 707-578-3960 M-F 830 to 430 for any questions I'd be happy to answer them. Thank you Larry

Larry-Is it best to call or order online? I would like the 105k FULL Kit with everything for an '07 TL Type-S, which I believe was was $491?

Also, would I have any problems taking this to an Acura dealership and having them install this and just pay for labor?

The only thing they recommend you add to that is the hydraulic tensioner for $75 as they're usually found to be leaking after 100,000 miles. That still makes the total cost for replacing those parts under $500 with tax. And the work is performed by certified Honda mechanics.

Had mine done 2 years ago at Hamilton. Like Tony the Tiger used to say.... THEY'RRRREEE GREAT !!
