Just got a new battery. No longer do the Acura Battery's have the "green eye" is what the dealer told me. Can someone tell me if they recently bought a new bat or new TL let me know if they have a green eye? The plastic cover has a little hole to see the eye and now I now longer have an eye! I'm kind of bummed. I know they don't work perfectly but still cool to look at. Thanks.

No eye on mine either.. They probably changed battery models or manufacturers.

The battery with the "Eye" was an ACDelco / Delphi battery.
These used to be good batteries in the past but I had bad experience (3 times) since 2000 with them.
On my 2000 Honda Odyssey (replaced after 15 months), On my 2003 Odyssey, replaced at 14 and 24 months).
Currently the battery in my TL has 27 months of used and would not be the least surprised to have to replace it before the car's warranty is over.
Please note that the "EYE" is only providing indication of the state of a single Cell in your 12 Volts battery that has 6 cells.
This means that the battery could have a "Green Eye" and be unusable.

True,
I couldn't tell you how many batteries we replaced at the dealership that "still" had "green"...... I could easily say that more bat's displaying green were bad than good....

My last "green eye" bat was a Johnson Controls made for Honda. Was not a Delco. I still miss it cause now I have a damn hole in the battery cover that looks at nothing. It just looks more sloppy to me. Hopefully they will redesign a battery cover and I could buy a new one. I know I'm weird. Don't have to tell me.... :-)
