Thinking of buying an '08 TL

hey guys,

I am looking into purchasing an 08 tl type s automatic. Just wondering if there are any reasons why I shouldn't or if I should look at a different year.

The 2008 is in the 3rd generation of the tl,s. You may want to post this question in the 3G TL sub forum.
You may consider spending a little more and look at a 4G?

I would say 08 is a good choice. I personally think Acura got drunk and decided to design the 09+ (4G model) but that's just my 2 cents.

Interesting that I see this... I have an 07 Type-S and it's at the dealer getting the power steering hose recall done and they gave me a loaner 4G TL with the tech package.

Aside from the looks (bleh), drives ok, auto transmission hunts around a lot more than I'd expect it would, the road noise (could be tires) was horrid and I'm not sure I like the navigation that high up in the dash.

Stop thinking and do it.

I really like my 08 TL. I had the same question about 15 months ago before I bought mine and had really good feedback from the Azine crew. So far the car has been great. I've added about 50K miles so far and the only real expense have been doing the 105K service.

Right now I'm at 120K and expect to double that before I look to change cars.

Good luck.

My son just bought an 07 5AT Type-S and loves the car. He's already had some nice compliments from his friends. It had a few minor issues which we've pretty much taken care of. Obviously you like this car. Go for it!! Welcome to AZ!!

Go for it man! I bought an 08 base back in December and have loved every minute of owning and modding my car. You won't be disappointed!
