Yeah I really can't decide if I like the wheels or not. I really need to see it in person. I am hoping to go see it tomorrow. It does have navigation which is a big improvement over the one that I test drove last week that didn't. I would think they could have made a more appealing console on the non-nav cars.

Astars, if he's stupid enough to insist those are stock wheels, then you should definitely be able to talk him down some. Everyone is dying to sell cars. Ludachrisvt had a good idea at $15,500.
And you're right on the Non-Nav TL's. Go with a Nav TL, you won't regret it.

I like the wheels and the color. In this economy, I'd offer him $3k under what he is asking. Tell him you have tons of options right now and that those non stock wheels devalue the car. Get a good accountant and have them write off the taxes next year under the new Obama initiative. You can steal this car for under $15k OTD.

Is the seller a used car dealer or a Acura dealer ?
$15,000 may be a hard number for the seller to agree to since it has NAVI...unless they have 10 TL's sitting on the lot for the past few months. Non NAVI 2005 TL's with about 45,000-50,000 miles were going for around $14,500 at auctions when I was researching for a TL a couple months ago.
Auction prices for select cars have gone up a little in the past few weeks as more new car dealers are buying auction cars to fill up their used car inventory. This is due to lack of trade-ins from new car sales being down 40% the past few months. Cautious consumers are looking for 3 year old 2006 TL's for $20,000-$22,000 as a cheaper (and "wiser") alternative to $ 35,000-$40,000 for the 2009 TL's.
Hope this helps.......You can offer $15,000, but I think the actual transaction price will be higher in the area of $16,000.

Well I ended up not getting the car. Apparently they had sold it sometime during the week and did not bother to tell me. Looks like I am starting over again.

Chin up..there are plenty more TL's out there...I'm in the process of searching for one too...most of the '05-06 TL's I have been researching have been between $19-24k..too much for a 3-4 year old car.

Yeah it's not the easiest thing to find one with nav either. Yeah I have looked at a some of there cars but a lot of them have been in wrecks or have some kind of damage. Have you bought anything from them?

If the dealer said those were stock wheels i would do some research on the cars history before buying it. Good price but when the seller doesnt have his facts straight on vehicle you should def look into it

That car looks good to me. The year and mileage are ok too. I like the wheels. I am in Miami and that price seems pretty low compared to cars in my area. Even though try to low ball the dealer and have a certain price limit going in. Say 16500 out the door or walk.

I left out the one minor detail that is has to be an auto. The wife may drive it some days when I ride the bike to work and she doesn't want to deal with a 6spd in this great Atlanta traffic we have.

Since they're not stock wheels, and if he won't come down in price, see if he can order u an aspec kit and throw it in the deal for ya! Maybe even some coilovers to sweeten the deal! LoL
