I love the car I think its awesome but ill have to add:

1. AWD
2. Doors that wont close on me when im tryina get out (I hate that)
3. Butt prints on my frickin seats when heavy people or people have sat there for a while (how do u get rid of those?)
4. MP3 player
5. Better a/c (live down here in miami and it gets hot and it takes a while for the a/c to cool the whole car)
6. 300hp so when Im done puttin on the rims (20's) and sound system I wont be slowed down so much.
7. And all 4 automatic windows

If you tell them they make butt prints in your car, you'll get rid of them all right!

Here's one I didn't see in the thread.

HFL display on the NAVI showing typical phone options like numbers, #, *, flash, etc. This would be especially helpful when accessing your voicemail because you have to enter codes. I know you can do it through voice command but that isn't very easy.

Also liked the exterior cornering lights someone mentioned earlier. My '92 Maxima had it and it was very helpful.

I'd also like to see an adaptive lighting system for those that engage in some spirited driving at nightime in the hills.

if the adaptive lighting is when the brake lights flash at various intervals depending on pressure (fast "stopping suddenly" vs steady on "regular stop sign"). the new e-class mercedes are going to have it and i've seen it talked about on a future version of a volvo. maybe by the time the '09 TLs come out they will have it. it's not all that cool, but other drivers will def. be able to react faster to us if we have to stop suddenly at night on a highway. anything that keeps people from rear-ending my TL is a good thing.

with that, i agree with what i've seen so far:
SH-AWD
MP3 discs
folding rear seats (though without adding a cheap feel to the seats)
better leather seats
a better dash that better hides the outline of the airbag
heated steering wheel (never heard of that, but i like it)
NO RATTLING
a better way to connect the headliner to the moonroof housing
auto up windows (2 clicks of the "lock" button on the fob, like the mod does)
full size spare
interior footwell lighting with brightness controls (my '92 Legend LS had this, why can't a '05 TL?)

that's all i can think of now. all of that (minus SH-AWD) can't cost that much to include on the car. i'd pay a little extra to have them.

Nope. I love my TL. Some of the features that we're asking for are already standard in other vehicles in this segment.

I think he might have meant the headlights that turn into a curve. For spirited driving, unless the guy behind you is also driving the same way, there will be plenty of time for him to notice you braked. I think the brake-lighting Mercedes has might be considered a trial version, in that the govt agency hasn't yet given it the green light (bad pun) for all cars. But it might wind up on the 09 TL. A similarly useful feature would be the brake-priming that the Infiniti and maybe BMW have where a quick release of the gas pedal pre-loads the brake-pressure since the system expects you are about to panic-stop. (I said that wrong but you get the idea.)

SH-AWD is probably for the 09 - if not, the TL is going to lose more ground.

MP3 is already in the 07s.

Folding rear seats, full-size spare? Convenient, but the TL's trunk is already pretty small. Acura probably figures, if you can afford a TL, your other vehicle is probably a minivan or an SUV. Like one of the other car commercials went, some vehicles were built to haul a lot of cargo, the one hauls a$$.

Heated steering wheel -- Agreed. Guess who already has it? Buick. On the Lucerne CXS, the top trim level, it's standard, and an option for the CXL middle-trim level. I think the rest of us may be consigned to keeping gloves in the glove box.

No rattling -- Amen, but I think it's probably 10 times easier to add 20 new features than to improve a fit-and-finish issue like this.

Auto-up -- really convenient, but in our litigation-happy world, it's not gonna happen. You have a better shot importing an Acura from another country where such a feature would not be seen as a lawsuit-magnet. Then again, the rest of the world pays $5 a gallon for gas, so their engines are probably tuned for economy not acceleration.

I think the 07s have footwell lighting, but it's so dim you probably would only see it on a night-time test-drive.

Of all of them, the costliest to add would probably be the SH-AWD, fixing the rattles, and possibly adding the folding seats (if it turns out there's something behind them that needed to be moved, like a structural beam!)

That heated steering wheel would probably be the cheapest, or maybe even the full-size spare.

Anyway that's my

Yeah, that would be really convenient.

I was just thinking that would be great if I wanted to transport something really large (andI had to move the passenger-seat to an extreme position). Then it would be easy to restore the seat to a normal position.

Then it got me thinking, how would that be "managed"? If you link it to the driver's keyfob settings, then that assumes that the same driver always has the same passenger. It might just be easier to only have a button on the door for the passenger, so they only use it when they need to.

That's what I was thinking - I usually have the same passenger so she would like a button all her own.....

I don't let her drive it.......she is waaay to close to curbings if ya know what I mean - her hubcaps look like the have been through a war with concrete.

A larger glovebox/glove compartment would have been nice, especially since the owner's manuals and case take up most of the space. A few napkins, drinking straws and towelletes as well as maps and other stuff will too easily fill the door and console compartments.

1-Folding rear seat
2- Better stereo, the Bose in my old Maxima was far better
or at least a standard size opening (double din)
3- A simple well designed clutch
4- a basic flip type rear view mirror

That's not the auto he's talking about. He's talking about the auto headlights that should be on the car.

Auto on and off, not always on when you have them on and they turn themselves off when you leave the car.

I foresee trouble if say a girl sets a particular seat setting, another girl changes it, and the first girl notices the seat settings have been changed and wants to know who rides frequently enough to change the seat settings... more drama

I also wish the 06 TL would utilize the Blue Tooth feature and allow you to access your phone book right from the console instead having to pick up your phone while driving to dial a number or by adding contacts 1 by 1 up to 50.

Wish list

The '07 TL-S has many of the items people have been asking for, so I guess Acura has been incrementally improving it all along:

Reverse Camera....................Fog Lights.........................Tire Pressure Monitor
Integrated Key/Fob...............XM Traffic...........................MP3 CDs
MP3 input..............................Side mirror turn signals.....Auto on/off Headlights
Tilt down mirrors...................Paddle Shifter....................DRLs

Things I'd like to see

SH-AWD
Keyless-go
Remote start
Seat controls on the door
2 fewer doors
Convertible

Many of you want a folding rear seat. I wouldn't mind seeing it as an option, like BMW, but not as standard. My wife and daughter both have it on their Accord EX-L, where it's standard. I'm always amazed at how much stuff my daughter can cram into her Accord, but the downside is a much less comfortable rear seat.

If it's your only car, the versitility is great. If you have an SUV for hauling stuff, the current seat is much friendlier to rear seat passengers.
