Guess you are right...I keep thinking a loaded EX is like 25,500...but now that I remember building on on there site it was 28g's. Still can't quite figure out where the exv6 w/ navi and TSX are supposed to fit in honda's lineup. Seems like they are similar cars (isnt the TSX the european Accord) and I'd take the extra power torque of the v6 accord over the TSX 4 cylinder (6 speed or no 6 speed) Maybe its just me

I betcha with Navi it is closer to 35-36, than 32-34.

another small thing are the keyless entry remotes....my girlfriends 2003 accord v6 has the remote and key as one....you think acura would do the same.

The only true performance car acura has is the NSX. I dont believe acura is going after true "enthusiasts" with their cars. That is too much of a niche market for acura to just jump into. However, I see awd as a possibility especially in the new RL and hopefully in the TL in a few years.

Much better design than the '03 Accord. That car is ugly, ugly, ugly, especially from the rear view! What where they thinking?

They were thinking, lets make a car that sells..

And Sell it does, I see so many of them I think They own the ROAD

I still agree its ugly, but it worked out for Honda and they are making money which is there goal

I used to think it was ugly, but now I see it every night in my garage and it is not bad. IMO, the interior is nicer than my 03 TLS-Navi.

Actually if you look on their website, the remote entry is separate from the key.

What?

he was stating that the 2003-2004 Accords have the Key Fob and the Key in One while the new TL has them Seperate..

I love it.

You guys are ripping the 2004 TL a lot. If you sit back and look at every little feature, minor or major, that the 2004 TL offers that previous models don't and that competitors don't, it turns out to be a surprisingly long list, not to mention that its styling is AWESOME all around, both interior and exterior. Its value is clearly superior to the 3-Series, G35/I35, C-Class, A4, IS300/ES330, S40/S60, X-Type, and 9-3/9-5. That's just about every foreign luxury entry-level competitor...3 German, 2 Japanese, 2 Swedish, 1 British. I used to be of the opinion that fog lights are a must but after looking at the beauty of the front, I think fog lights could mess it up. I'm not really too concerned about a lack of fog lights, and there's still a possibility that they will be available as an option. Three features that there was speculation might be in the 2004 TL that turned out not to be are intelligent cruise control, air conditioned seats, and adjustable suspension--but these are all features found on the S-Class and LS430--not something to be expected on a TL. As for the handling, I think the A-Spec package will make the TL just as good a handler as the 3-Series and G35. So to me, the 2004 TL is my idea of entry-level luxury perfection, with the exception of two gripes I have with it, one minor and one major. The minor one is its lack of a power rear sunshade, something the C-Class and ES330 boast. It's not something I would be using that often at all, but features count, and that's one that the TL doesn't have. The major gripe is the lack of all-wheel drive, something that would give the car the benefits of both types of drivetrains. Damn, if Acura had seized the opportunity to include these two things in the 2004 model, they would have made the first model of the new generation even more compelling and striking in the market--but now they have to spread out that excitement over two model years (assuming and hoping that these two things would come in the 2005 model). If today I knew for a fact that these two things were to come in 2005, I'd wait to trade in my 2001 TL for the 2005 model. But if the 2004 model were to have these two things then I don't see how anybody could make a case that it wouldn't be entry-level luxury perfection and better than any competitor out there when fitted with A-Spec (barring consideration of styling since that is totally subjective even though in my case, I totally love it).

I say 5 Star for new TL.. Why don't you guys research more and talk about it. I think they step up with much better products than previous version. TL will cost more now beside it's more luxurious and powerful. And looks hotter on the road. Let's see. What the press have to say about it. Well, TIME Mag says it has high tech.

You can get Accord V6 EX w/ Navi & Leather for $25,500. My wife just got one and she loves it so far. I even read some people getting it for $24,500 or less.

That's what I thought too at first but the look actually grows on you. Especially if you think about all the options that it has for less than $26,000.

It even lowers/raises all the windows via the remote or key.

Yeah.... the TL's remote does all that, it memorizes all your settings, including interior lighting settings.

It will lower all the windows AND open the moonroof.

OK, I have 2002 TLS and my remote doesn't open the window or the moon roof. Did I miss something?

The new 2004TL does this, not the previous Gen one.

Things I Hate about It

Too many buttons around the steering/dash. Very unHonda-like. Also the rear view. Nothing special. Plus they shamelessly copied BMW from the front 3/4 view. Otherwise should be another solid car. Hope they don't make it too expensive, though. If they do, then some people will be crying all the way to the Infiniti G35 dealership.

Many people have a perception that if the price goes up that people will look to other cars..

but its a whole diff car..

You dont get luxury feel in G35, you dont get all these features, and the G35 Sedan is UGLY!

Only thing G35 has going is power and RWD, and maybe new AWD but except that the car sucks interior and exterior..

I also think the handling on the TL will be better, like the TSX!

I agree that the interior of the G35 sucks. Ugh!! That thing looks like it was put together by some mad scientist on PCP. Looked at at when it first came out, and then test drove it this year. Everything is so maddeningly out of place!!!

It looks out of place because Infiniti, just took the car from Japan and just changed the steering wheel to the left, they forgot about ergonomics, and etc...

While the TL was built for left hand drive

Interesting analysis, but I think a little more than a steering wheel change took place.

The G looks sooooooo old next to the new TL. Infiniti are lucky AWD is coming this year to add some more spice.

I read that somewhere else. I mean the thing about transposing the steering wheel only for the individual markets. But, have you seen the interior of the latest Maxima? Tons of buttons on the dash that look and feel alike. Nissan can't seem to close the deal. G35 is a nice car, just not a TL.

im glad I waited for the 04 TL. I was looking to get a tsx but I like to have a 4door car that has a v6 and a six speed. I would buy a Accord v4 if I could get it in a 4 door and a 6 speed. I cant get all that and more in a TL. I will say though, I too do not like were the hand break is but I will not care. Im not going to do any powerslides in this car. this will be my top of the line car for me at my age.

I agree. I was VERY disappointed when I saw the TSX. I hate the rear as well. The TL is the right fit for me.

I also am unimpressed by most of the current design, outside of Nissan/Infiniti who I think are making an effort. After looking at them the Audi, BMW, Saab, and Chrysler 300M seem so uninspired. Actually, I like the boxy Saab 9-5 look better than the others which all look like Accords on the outside to me. I think the problem is that all have mastered the art of bending sheet metal so it's not a competive advantage any more (e.g., what out there now looks hotter than a cheap Nissan Altima?).

First time here folks, Picked up my 03 TL TYPE S 2 weeks
ago because I don't like the look of the o4's and didn't want
to miss out on my dealer runing out of these beauties.
This is my first Acura and I love it. Find myself leaving the
main highway and head'in for those snake-back coastal roads.
That type S makes me feel young again.
I find I have a problem washing it though , never had a black
car before and those water spots are driving me crazy.
