I bought my car from a Chrysler dealer that had no idea how to sell it. Fortunately for them, I'd been looking online for any TL's within a few hours drive. The finance lady must have thought it was a BMW because she kept telling me how much they cost to fix and that I could get the service history from Barron BMW (a big local BMW dealer. They don't sell Acura).

OP after I debadged the Acura & TL off my trunk, I've gotten the: Nice Tsx comment lol. It doesn't bug me because any real enthusiasts would know the differences between a Tsx and a 3G TL. Come one, just look at the ass the 3G TL's got lol.

Like others have said, Acura at heart is a Honda. Where Acura differs from Honda is the quality and attention Acura's engineers strive for a excellent looking car and excellent quality ride where as Honda the engineer focus on a good-to-great looking car and good-to-great quality ride. Notice the difference in the word excellent and good-to-great (I know there is no such word by I'm trying to explain it's in between those two words). That's a huge difference.

Just the other day I was pumping gas and an older guy pumping gas in an f150 said "Hey thats a nice car there, Its a maxima right?" I simply said, Yes thanks.
OP, you need to learn how to not give a fuck what people say. You obviously like the car, you knew it was made by honda before you baught it.
And I'm 100% sure your going to hear "Nice honda" a shit ton more with honda badges... jusstt sayyin

Some people don't know anything about cars. Some people just don't care which is alright in my book. I met up with a guy I used to do business with a few months ago. After lunch we went to my car to get his computer that I did some work on. I told him I got a new car since last time I saw him and that I'm still sticking with Honda. He looked at the car and asked why I got an Acura if I prefer Honda. I had to explain the relationship. I even went on to explain the similar relationship to Toyota/Lexus, Nissan/Infinity, GM/Cadillac, etc. I probably shouldn't have bothered I'm sure he didn't care.
