Thank you Acurazine!!!!!!

Hell everyone. I'm a new member here and just want to thank everyone for alll the great information on the Acura TL. I was recently in a car accident on Monday morning in which my car was totaled ( 99 Honda Accord ) . I had been looking at the TL for quite some time but was not going to buy until maybe 4 months from now because I'm getting married at the end of the month and just purchased a house in November. Now I must get a new car, so I figure why not the TL, its not good timing but I might as well get what I want now.

So since I've told you my life story here's a question I have. I've got quotes from several dealers on an 08 TL w/navi the lowest internet price being 31,998 plus ttl. Is this a good starting price to work down on??? I don't want to feel rushed into a bad deal. I should be getting a decent amount from the accident to put down on the car so I won't have to dip out of my already thin pockets. By the way I'm in Mckinney,TX which is a suburb of Dallas

Welcome, glad you're ok from the accident, congrats on pending marrage and the possibility of getting a TL.

I'm not in the market for a new car so I can't help with anything else

Sorry about your Accord, glad you're ok.

Acura's website shows that car at 36,940 including destination. I'd say $5K off list is a pretty good deal!

I can tell you of my experience buying my TL. I looked on Cars.com and found the cheapest pricing available, which happened to be at a dealership in Chicago. It was a 2008 TL, but it was listed as a certified used car with 200 miles on it. I called them to get more info on the car. They told me it was a car that was used to demo the Nav System in the car, so the couldn't sell it as a "new" car. But the car came with an extended warranty because it was certified.

Anyway, I printed off the info on this car and took it into my local dealer and asked them to match the price or I would go to Chicago and drive the car home-which I would have done gladly. It worked like a charm.

I'll check it out. I was pretty sure there was somewhere on the forums that people listed the prices of their cars but wasn't sure were to look

I'm also in DFW. That price sounds pretty damn good. Which dealer did you go to? Mac Churchill? Goodson? Vandergriff? I bought mine at Goodson and they really have great people and customer service when it comes to you and your car. I don't know about the others. Good luck and get it get it!

Not a bad starting point, but don't let them know we said that!

I recommend trying to negotiate them down as much as possible and then you can try to get them to throw in all weather mats, tints, ipod adapter, and anything else you may want.

Good luck!
