Taking the TL-S to VIR Full on 9/7

I've done several trackdays this summer on my RC51 track bike, but my brother is a car trackday enthusiast and has convinced me to take the TL-S out to one of the events he has been planning to attend.

VIR Full is a power circuit and the decent power and braking of the TL-S should be a good fit. It of course isn't a race, and it's entirely possible and normal for cars like Sentras to pass Z06s because of the wide range of skill and bravery levels.

At this point I'm so adjusted to railing around VIR's configurations on two wheels, it will be interesting to make the transition back to a car. I'm getting excited!

For the event I've ordered a set of Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec tires (in case it rains... you never know)... they are pretty close to an R compound tire while still being fair on the street. Plus I got a decent deal on them. I'm definitely not a Dunlop fan usually. I also sourced some Hawk brake pads. I figure this in combination with fresh brake fluid and oil, I should be just fine out there.

Cool.

Definetly consider the high temp brake fluid. I used Amsoil DOT 3 which had a temp range of most mass market DOT 4. Even with brand new (bedded only) Racing Brake ET500 pads, StopTech slotted fronts and SS lines I had significant brake fade. Should've gotten some Motul DOT 5.1.

My 5AT did very well overall at CMP, so you're 6 speed should do even better.

Good call on the new tires.

Look for my CMP thread in 3G TL Photo Gallery.
