Tail pipes swap?
Anyone know of a BMW M3 like dual/dual round pipe aftermarket surgery option? Rectangle is OK, but I think round pipes would look better, even given the rectangular cut out. Anyone done it and have pics? Aftermarket links? Cost? Downside?

Don’t know about your other questions, but I'd suspect that the downside would be that once you remove OEM tailpipe's you'd have to contend with the bumper tailpipe molding since they appearance of being integrated into the rear bumper.
Additionally you'd have to wait for the Aftermarket to catch up to the new TL. I could be wrong, but I dont think that there are CAT backs yet available.

All I'm really looking for is a "saw" and "weld" right at the end...no other swaps. I can't believe that the very tips of the system are so integral so as to make a bit of difference functionally.

No, I wasn’t implying that they make a difference functionally, just visually. I was just trying to convey my thoughts about how the bodywork forms around those TL tips.

Maybe give it a few months to see if the stock ones grow on you, and if not you can always hack them off. By then, if there is going to be a specific application for the TL pipes, someone will have marketed it.

Greenseed...I looked again at the shape. Expect either the outside pipe would stick out or find or custem a set with the outside pipe recessed back an inch or two. That would likely look strange, but no more strange than the angular look. Pizza is round (or should be); basketballs are round; hotdogs are round; turds are even round, kind of. Tail pipes should be round.
