Noob question here: Do the LED switchbacks require a wiring harness and ballast like the headlights and fog lights do?

I got these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/110754214538#ht_1429wt_1270

I'm going to be hopefully putting them in next week when my load resistors show up.

I was looking at mine last night, they are slightly whiter than my 6k low beam and fog light hids...so they would probably look just fine with the oem color.

Not necessarily. There is an alternative to load resistors...

Without load resistors:

With load resistors:

Edit: Kane337 Ninja'd before me but yeah. with and without load resistors its possible to stop hyperflashing. Its up to your preference on which method you use; you just have to do SOMETHING.

If you have 6000K HIDs in your headlights than the 6k switchbacks will match almost perfectly.

If you have OEM headlights and haven't changed the bulb to another type, the OEM bulb is rated at 4300K. Having a 6000K switchback will result in the switchback looking nearly blue.

Anyone running this?
It's pointless. I used to run switchbacks when I still had the amber diffuser in my headlight. When I would turn the headlights on to parking mode, the LED would light up white, but since I still had amber diffusers in my headlights it looked more like PURE YELLOW (white + amber = yellow)

When I would hit the turn signal, the white would turn off and the LED would start blinking amber and it would look deep dark amber (amber LED + amber diffuser = AMBER).

6K switchbacks WILL NOT match OEM 4300K xenons. I have OEM xenons and look at the picture below. In person, the switchbacks literally look BLUE when compared to the OEM headlights. It DOES NOT MATCH at all. Not even "SLIGHTLY". I hate it because it looks like a poor quality LED, but it's just because it's 6k while my oem white xenons are 4300. I wish they made 5000K switchbacks, but they only make those for the Type-S that uses the 1157 socket.

Now you're getting picky. When one cant afford the $60 ones you settle for the cheaper ones. If they don't match the brightness of the $60 set you can rest assured it'll still be brighter than stock.

I could afford the $60 set, just didn't want to pay that. I paid $32 shipped...ebay ones...and a lot brighter than the vled ones, IMO.

And guess what, they are probably all made in the same place overseas! The key is to find an ebay vendor that is decent to deal with and backs their product up in case of a problem. I've had my interior LED's for years...all of which came from ebay.

i usually check their ebay feedbacks before making any purchases, if he happens to be powerseller or has shit load of great reviews, i would buy from him right away, I guess they really got it for cheap cuz one time i ordered 2 48LED boards and ended up getting 4 because he thought i never receive the first package.......

whatever you do, don't order from hong kong lol. Unless they guarantee expedited shipping like my Roof spoiler (2 weeks)

I bought tire valve covers with the acura logo on them almost a month ago. still waiting!

^^^I'll agree with that...if I order from HK, normally I'll make sure I can afford to wait. Still don't get how they can afford free shipping from overseas for such a cheap price on the item.

Actually not too long ago (no more than 2 months) I bought a pair (2 total bulbs) of 2-LED high-power 1 watt bulbs for each of my doors and when I received the package it contained a total of 4. I got 2 extra ones for free, they didn't charge me extra at all.
