Supercharger and 105k service

So my car has finally hit the 105k service range and I decided to totally change the car. I just installed light weight pulley, HFPC, j pipe, catback, and supercharger with a custom AEM intake. Needless to say, its gonna be a different car. Excelerate Performance is doing the HFPC, pulley, the SC, and most of the 105k service.

I am changing the oil and spark plugs myself and this leads to my question.

What spark plugs should I use with this new set up? Is there a recommended oil that I should use with this setup as well?

I know there is a search feature.. but i know you all love posting things multiple times!

Thank guys!

You should probably know the answers to those questions prior to even buying a supercharger considering the volatile nature of the TL supercharger. It's not exactly just a bolt on mod with no repercussions.

Good luck with the build though!

NGK's will suffice but you may want to talk to a tuner as you will probably be going a step or 2 colder with your plugs.

As far as oil whatever you are currently using should be fine. There are a few people with S/C's already and you may want to contact them as to whether they are running reg or synthetic oils or if they switched brands.
An oil cooler would probably be a good idea and maybe needed if you need to change the filter location for any reason.

Not sure if a radiator upgrade is needed but you may want to consider due to the increased engine temps with FI.

Sounds like a fun build and have contemplated the same thing when she is paid off but a turbo setup would result in bigger hp gains.

Also don't forget motor mounts and engine brace. XCLR8 has what I am talking about.

Post pics or start a build thread so we can watch the progress

Per the CT-Engineering 04-06 TL V6 Supercharger Check List:

(6) Denso IK 22 Spark Plugs

Bottom Left, forth line item up.

http://ct-engineering.com/LinkClick....4%3d&tabid=863

Oil=subjective. I use 10w30 due to excessive heat in my environmental locale.

Thanks for the completely useless input. The tuners will help, but looking for some second, third, an forth opinions from ppl here with some experience with the SC.

Just message Hi Speed or check his threads. I think he had one of the longest S/C builds besides Opel, RonJonTL57, and a couple other members.

What he means is the comptech kit is incomplete per say and there are many many many threads about it.

I would highly recommend two steps colder spark plugs and some kind of engine management such as the AEM FIC...

Paul (NVA-AV6) has a set up for the MP90 that is more efficient and a bit cheaper..

I had the comptech supercharger on my car until I searched a lot and found out that its over revved and not really complete. I've also seen pauls 3.6 motor which is about the same cost (around 4800) and pushes almost the same WHP NA..

I've driven boosted cars and NA cars with A LOT of power...I LOVE NA cars with power over boosted cars..

Thank for the help. I have a 650 hp/ tq NA 71 Chevelle so yes I know power. I just had to make my daily commuter more fun to drive as well...

The AEM FIC I have comming in the kit as well.
