I'm always curious why people who are selling their cars are short on details.
Maybe it's me, but I'd rather spell out everything in an ad than repeat it multiple times to everybody who asks.

I have limited experience selling stuff, but every time I posted something well described on ebay with bunch of photos and closeups etc. I was getting less money than similar auctions.

If I simply typed "like on pictures, all work" then it was selling for more. Never got negative feedback, but I've sold like ~10 things (like computer parts, phones, etc.).

Guess if you write what's wrong, many people will look elsewhere, but if you don't they will be interested. They probably wouldn't notice what's wrong with the car if you wouldn't point that out.

I always do that too and then people email asking the same questions that are answered in my ad.

I've got an example of this up here in Canada - https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rds...291358932.html - The ad once upon a time had pictures and I can confirm this is indeed a KBP TL-S Auto for $4,500 CAD or approximately ~$3,600 USD. 270k km is roughly 168k miles.

Even worse when it has a high asking price and the seller only posts a picture or two. Bonus points for pics in the dark.

Also, I still don't get why people cover their plates.
