Stock lights too bright???
Does anyone else have people complaining to them that their lights are to bright?
Last night I had a guy high beamed me after a passed him. I wasn't speeding or tail gating him.
I personal think Acura stock head light bulbs are one of the best ones out there!

Be prepared to be "flashed" many times
Due to the blue hue of the xenon high intensity gas, it "dazzles" drivers who are used to a white hue. It appears more intense to the human eye naturally, and therefore brighter.
I personally think the Acura lights add a level of safety, and other "high end" cars such as Audi and BMW are adding the xenons either as standard equipment or options.
The '07 Acura TL-S attempts to weaken the blinding effect to other drivers by lowering the level of the left light just slightly.
Enjoy just another great feature

All 3G TL's are adjusted this way.
Most of the 04 TL owners including me questioned each other early on thinking the left was mis-aligned etc..

Depends on where I'm at... Around Chicago here, no problem because people are used to seeing cars with HIDs... However, up in N. Wisconsin, almost everyone flashes thinking I have the brights on, as someone said before, until I hit them with the high beams... Then they're prolly like WTF?

All cars in America have the left headlight down and in a bit for oncoming traffic,
the right side is out a little and up to see farther up the road for lane edge lines or pedestrians, bicylcles or other dangers lurking in the shadows
Check your tire pressure
Some cars may have misaligned lights or coilover shocks- all that affects the lights
Try loading the trunk and see how many times you get beamed!

Yep, people high beam me all the time. The ones I really love are the ones that flash you right as they get close to your car so you don't even have a chance to give em a quick dose of the high beams to show them they're not on, not to mention the fact that you're blind at the point. My tires are correctly inflated (accoring to the TPMS) and nothing heavy in the car to drop the back end lower, so I guess in my little part of the world they just aren't used to the HIDs.

Yep, townies here at Cornell are adjusted to halogens lol. Esp with my Hoen Xenonmatch foglights (which is slightly bluer than stock HIDs), they high beam me like twice and I actually get pretty pissed at them so I high beam them back and then they go into a state of shock hahahaha.

I love mine! I have a 2005 TL. I've noticed that the newer ones don't have these lights (here in WA state) even though they are advertised as HID xenon. They look like standard headlights. What's up with that? My husband is upset because his 2007 Infiniti FX doesn't have these lights in them although they are supposed to be xenon. Is there a difference between xenons and can his be changed? Supposedly his were "upgraded" when they came through customs. (Not sure exactly what was done to them though.)

The DVD-A Script Guy
I never get flashed so I'm guessing the stock lights aren't too bad for oncoming drivers.
I did see an article a year back in a AAA mag that said, in a nutshell, old folks hate them and the Acura's seem to be the best aimed and least troublesome for other drivers.
My opinion is that most people that dislike them never sat on the "right" side of them at night.

I for one, do not enjoy driving in front of our 07 TL-S in my S2000 - way to distracting even with the mirror flipped up. On the other hand, I really like driving the TL-S at night because I can see just about everything.

I got flashed by a cop...I almost got a ticket, then I showed him my highbeams and was let off. the 04-05 TL's have the brightest headlights of all the TL's as they use EEE lenses instead of the 06+ lenses which are ECE or some combination of the sort of letters. But in 2004-2005, people complained of the light being blinding so a hazier lense was put in, I got that off of HID planet.
