Are SSM and ASM close enough?

My '05 is SSM (satin silver metallic) and I was thinking about buying the '07 ASM (alabaster silver metallic) side mirrors. In the pictures I've seen, the two silvers look identical. Is there any discernable difference?

im sure if you put them togather there would be a noticable difference.

i got the alabaster silver TL and it looks pretty much like the satin silver one. Even the dealer got confused on the actual color which doesnt really say much. i think the satin silver is a shade or so darker

You're right, there is. It is hard to tell from pics thou. I parked next to a SSM and could tell the difference, but if your mismatched bumper covers dont bother you then try it out.

You can always buy them to check the color difference, but make sure you can bring them back. ASM has a bit more shine to the silver in the sparkle flakes.

I've read the SSM also has a more blue-ish tint to the color - and the ASM is clean clear silver......I've never seen the SMM in person
