the shop removed the tint cuz the tint got scratched and now i'm going to install felt aka moleskin in the doors. plus it was metallic and interfering with navi

so dont get METALLIC and plz put FELT aka MOLESKIN

I have a SSM as well with 35% rear, 50% front.. it's a real light tint. Just personal preference though. Didn't want to get anything too dark.

There's a pic of it. I also got Pinnacle tint (ceramic based/non-metallic) from FormulaOne with moleskin installed.

If your car has navi. You need to use a non metallic tint. The tint has to be dyed or "ceramic" LLumar does not make a non metalic tint. Well that is not totally correct they make dyed tint but It will fade over the course of time and start to look purple. Although it has a warranty that says it wont. Formula one offers a cermic tint. The tint is called PINNICLE. Formula one is not the same as PINNICLE so dont let them tell you it is. Pinnicle is a brand of tint from formula one its ceramic. Huper Optics makes an awesome ceramic tint. From what I have read it has some of the highest ratings. Although I think 35% is the darkest you can get. If you want real dark go with the pinnicle.

Pinnicle = ceramic tint ======>navi cars
formula one = matalic tint====>non navi cars
huper optiks = ceramic tint ===>navi car
llumar = metalic and dyed. ===>non navi cars

Hope this helps.

Agreed. Good info. By the way, Huper Optics can be rather expensive but I hear they are good tints (a guy on this forum spent close to $500 on them, not sure if that is the standard rate, but they are more expensive).
To offer a guide to you about the tint ratings (IMO, although I don't know how helpful it is because my "very light" might not be yours):
50%: very light
35%: slightly dark
20%: dark
15%: very dark
5%: is this window painted?
You can click my sig for pics of 35% all around (the ebony interior makes it seem darker, so you should think about your interior color when tinting.
