Question Springs?

Ordered Comtech Springs from my dealer today. The parts rep. called me back and told me there is a 1 month back order. Fine... He also suggested the Camber parts. Based on what I have read throughout this forum. The Camber parts are not necessary. Can anyone just confirm this so I feel better.

I got a good price. $220.00 for the springs and $50 hr for labor. 2-3 hour job.

1 Month? Wow. Try HR Springs, they just came out with a kit. Had them on my Si and it handled like it was on rails.

1 months sounds unrealistic. I would check the Comptech website (remember, the springs for the TL are EXACTLY the same as the ones for the TSX). Also, call around to racing shops and other places to confirm that the wait exists. Shoot, don't forget to check out the link on this site to find out about the possiblitty of backorder. $50/hr is very, very reasonable (leading me to think that they have not installed these before). I would make sure that you get solid numbers in writing because I have not heard anything close to that price fron dealers. In fact, I called 3 dealers out here near me, and all of them wanted between $250-300 for the install. FYI, the labor is less than 3 hours, so make sure they don't bill you for anything over that.

I did what you suggested and called Comtech right after my discussion with the parts rep. They said the same thing.
That's OK. I am more concerned about price. I just want the deal they are giving.

The need for a rear camber kit really depends on what you want. If you want a lot of negative camber (top of tires lean in) and lots of inner tire wear, then no camber is necessary. Some peps say the kit is not necessary and maybe for them it's not. My preference is get the rears adjusted to as close to the factory's specs as possible after the installation of the Comptechs. Take a look after the springs are installed and then make your decision.
