Yea this happens to me sometimes too, but I dont' really think its a "problem." I don't know that much about cars or how the engine/transmission works, but I'm guessing it's just the car protecting itself from damaging the transmission - like when the car prevents you from downshifting if the RPM's are too high. But instead of downshifting, the car is preventing you from upshifting. I know thats a crappy explanation so if anyone else with more knowledge can provide a real answer that'd be great haha. But basically, I don't think anythign is wrong with the car - just the TL being smarter than us

Maybe you didn't do the full upshift motion. Sometimes i make the upshift motion a little short and the gear won't shift. Just make sure you push the shifer up more?

Not that I use it a lot (the boss thinks I'm beating the car when I do) but I wish it was pull back for up-shifting and forward for down-shifting. Just seems easier that way because the aceleration has you going back in your seat a little anyway. But I've been backwards my whole life.
