Sport Pedals

Sup fellas, I'm relatively new to the site. I browse around and read alot, more than I post replies and make threads, so this will be my first.

I own a 08 NBP TL A/T W/ Navi and was going for a black and blue theme since most of the interior already has blue accent lighting. Already installed a black and blue steering wheel cover, got white and blue led's coming in this week.

After browsing around for quite some time, I thought to myself "what else could I do to bring out the black and blue theme more?" and than it hit me, PEDALS! I plan on also doing my shift knob, but I see more out there for manual cars than autos (they always have the gear diagram engraved ontop)

Well after looking on the excelerate performance web site, I found out they had some that looked pretty nice. They are called "NRG Aluminum Sport Pedals" picture below

The problem I have is; when I'm on their website and set my car as a 08 acura tl base, it DOES NOT show this pedal to be compatible with my car. The list shows nothing.
But when I change my car to a 05 acura tl base, and select pedals, this "NRG" one pops up.

My question is, will it fit my 08 TL? Are the 04-06 that different from the 07-08's as far as the pedals go?

Here's the one I had in mind..

There are better options available for pedals for our cars. Wait for some other members to chime in with their suggestions and pics.

Good question on the pedel difference. I'd think the 08 pedals would be the same as the 05. Correct me if I'm wrong.

those dont look attractive at all.

Have you looked at just plain aluminum?

if you add Blue LEDs into your courtesy lights, i'm sure the blue would reflect off of the aluminum.

Or he can install blue footwell lights. That would really set off the all aluminum pedals.

Thanks for the help guys, I guess it is a bit tacky.

The main reason I was leaning towards it was because it was blue, but I do suppose the blue footwell lighting would reflect off the aluminum ones and make it even more blue, along with the door lights.

Thank you both "Justnspace" and "LoveMyTl-S" for your inputs!!

Hmm.... after reading the description on the website you linked me, I noticed it says "Screws and Bolts are included. Drilling is required for installation"

Was it difficult to do? What exactly did you have to drill into? How long was the installation time, if you recall?

Drilling through the brake pedal is a PAIN IN THE ASS! And I like the black mats, but more so if they were rubber. I think they match nicely with the other black dash pieces on the tan interior models.

It's doable. Make sure you have a titanium coated drill bit for the brake pedal. The dead pedal and the gas pedal are VERY easy. The brake pedal is the one that's hard to get the drill through and get everything attached. All in all, I think it took me about an hour to get this done. Here's my install: http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/5638/img2922r.jpg

Yeah, it really does make a difference in the appearance of the interior. I was kind of surprised just how much it makes things stand out in there (and not look so bland).

^ I'm certainly not mod-happy. In fact, I've come to really be annoyed by just the word! But that does look sharp with a very factory look. My wife's FX35 came with those and looks good......

fyi you could also do strutking pedals which are identical to the TL-S, or ultimate pedals which makes great custom type
