a-spec repainted...

I just purchased the a-spec body kit for my 06 TL for 770$ canadian with tax, here's the problem. . .I have a WDP TL and the kit they had was for the silver so i need to have them repainted.

Acura wants another 600 to paint all 4 pieces so i'm definately not going to get them to paint it. People are telling me to instruct the body shop to use some sort of "flexible primer" and a whole bunch of other stuff, what are the important things to make sure before allowing the body shop to paint the pieces?

Also the A-spec rear lip has this carbon section, or i guess a dark gray/graphite color and i was wondering if i should just paint the whole lip white? I'm not sure if this has been done before? Your suggestions are appreciated thanks...

I'm not sure if you're familiar with the aero/kit prices however 770 canadian, taxes included is probably one if not the best deal for all four pieces. Its a clearance sale so all that was left was red and silver. Since i'm in canada i wouldn't have had to pay S&H fees nor duty taxes, saving me more money. I could have bought it locally and matching my color however the lowest price quote was 1500+tax...anyways if you have any useful info that would answer my questions to this post, your help is highly wanted.

Have you considered color matching the front and back bumpers at the same time you have those painted ? A good reason to do this is that you might end up with three distinct shades of WDP if you don't do the color match. White emphasizes these small differences the most.

Maybe you can try a trade deal with one of your local dealerships. It wont hurt to try and if successful, you wont have to deal with the mismatched paint.

I would just look for a better deal on the color you want. Having them repainted means worrying about they painting it right and not having it all flaking off in a year.
