Spark Plugs
I recently purchased a 2005 Acura TL, It has 106,000. I was wondering when a spark plug change would be a good idea? Thanks
|
Did it even had the 105K service? that would be my major concern.....
YES I WOULD CHANGE THE PLUGS.... |
with your 105k mi service.

AdvanceAutoParts.com has the OEM NGK Laser Iridium plugs for $11 each. Then you can use coupon code CCABIN for $20 off of a $50 order (or $40 off $100).

Oh man, I hope the 105 was done...Every time I see a TL for sale with those miles I wonder if someone just got lazy and traded it in so they wouldn't have to fork out some money.

nothing you should get at advanced auto by changing the fluids might not be a bad idea. Motor oil, transmission fluid, and power steering fluid. only use Honda/Acura power steering fluid and i strongly recommended Honda auto trans fluid but iam seen some people using redline. also might be thinking about getting the whole timing belt procedure done.

Make sure it has the 105k service done. I did mine exactly at 105,002 when my notification came up on the MID. Replaced cabin, air filters, oil change, coolant, timing belt, water pump, tire rotation, and power steering change(oem). Pully's and tensioners were not leaking, they were in really good condition still(so no replacement). At 113,120 right now!
But ..... have not done a tranny change, valve adj. or spark plugs, plan to do the Spark Plugs this weekend. Is it okay to replace the spark plugs before a tranny change and pressure switches? |
