I had a Type-S. Terrific car, but I had a bad accident in it. I now have an 04 6MT. Much nicer car. Everything that looked or felt somewhat bland in the previous generation TL will put an unconscous grin on your face this time around. Drive one and you'll understand.

It's my 7th Acura and it's my favorite so far. It does have its shortcomings though...vibration issues, marginal tires, a few bugs Acura still needs to fix, but over all there is still no other car I would step into right now if I had the option to do so. I've got 8200 miles in 4 months on this car.
This topic has been beaten to death, like vtech=happiness said, but in this case I don't mind, since opinions can change on this subject quite often.

This is my 1st Acura and I love it. Only 700+ miles so far, but it's all good (knock on wood)! I had a 2001 A4 Quattro before the new TL. That car had great handling, but I'm hoping the TL will be better in the long run, reliability-wise. It sure beats the old Audi in the high-tech department.

Ha! I just posted this same question a few days ago!
I too live in the Seattle area and am thinking about trading my '02 Type-S in for an '04. Still on the fence though...might wait for the '05s to roll out.

So far, I'm loving mine. The complaints I can find are so petty, I can't find one legit complaint about the car. Here's an example of my petty complaints:
1) Change 'tray' only allows dime/nickels/quarters... why is there no love for the penny?
2) one loose thread in the passenger seat
3) Haven't found a voice command to go from FM to XM
4) Already found road that I travel one that isn't in the NAV system (the road was opened less than 6 months ago)
5) no 'auto-on' feature for headlights (when it gets dark)
6) seems to be a little friction on the stick when I go to third, not grinding at all, but something is not synching right. Only happens from 2nd -> 3rd. if I go 3rd -> neutral -> 3rd, it doesn't happen
All in all.. extremely petty. I love this car and have no regrets. I love the NAV to, given the way it's incorportated into the functioning of the car.. it's well worth the money. It's much more than just a NAV screen.
