Oh we are quoting now. Ok.
there is no such thing as a sport tl without what became known as aspec later...suspension, body kit etc...so the differentiating was for the manual tl at the time. So he's wrong...what he's saying is the sport would have been different with part numbers and the like. Not the case. Aspec was just a marketing thing.
I should know, I have one.
I should know, I have one.
Early in 2004 and end of 2003 they put aspec packages on all "sport" tl's and added 7k to the price tag. Know how I know, I picked the car and saw the window sticker. I didn't Google it you pretentious fuck. So yes, not all aspecs are sports, but all sports are aspecs. And they ate tou together
And they are tied together unless you're implying that the manual tls got special suspension and all the other stuff you noted for only 6 months of production. Again, don't assume you understand. I don't mind dumb people...what irks me is smart people who aren't even close to as smart as they think they are.

Meh, maybe I was wrong?
I'm not sure what I said that hit your ego so hard that you had to come back around via fb or here looking to argue. I guess I was a little too close for comfort on my assumptions about you and the whole intimacy thing and getting close with people. Meant it to be construction, not destructive.
So, I may have been wrong in my wording and assumptions about aspec, which isn't to say you're right about your interpretation of it either, but I certainly was not wrong about you.
I thought we left on good terms. Was going to post your farewell PM to me, but it has your number and I'm classy like that.

I also said, maybe. But you got so hellbent on proving me wrong when there's so much for room for interpretation or misinterpretation. Even the facts you got from various sources...I really do think that somewhere in the BS we were saying the same thing.
I got the impression that when they were introducing aspec (before it was called that) that the did slap it on all of the sport TL's. That might have just been an assumption based on the fact that the black one with the spotlight in the showroom (mine) was the only one sporting it. 2 separate things...but I thought they used that to push the "sport" model.
Again, not sure why it spiraled so far out of control again.
And in anything we say, we're human and we're repeating something some other human said or wrote...so we are all fallible. And trust me, the day you realize that it's okay to be wrong, is the day you'll feel liberated.

It spiraled because you were wrong yet continued to call me out and instigate. What do you think is going to happen when you say Chad every other post? People I don't even know called you out on that.
So between being instigated and ultimately being the correct one, yea, I'm going pound it into the ground.
No need to carry this on any further.

You weren't instigated...you chimed in after I did. After 2 glorious months of not having to hear from you and your dramatic ways. You thrive on chaos and arguments...You didn't know what I meant, you were just on a quest to prove me wrong. Again, it's up for interpretation and I admit, I got caught up in it too. To shut you the fk up, I will admit that I was wrong about part of what I said.
I was wrong about them not being mutually exclusive, not about what I said.
BUT, that said, from the end of 2003 until 2004 when aspec was unveiled, called that and and marketed as it's own item. Show me proof that the dealers installed it on anything but the "sport" model TL. Guess what, you can't. That's the experience I had, and that's what I think it was during that timeframe. Once announced, aspec was available as a lip kit to anyone and there were plenty of 6MT's that didn't end up getting one. And if I'm wrong, I'll live. You're the one that shrivels up at the idea of your word not being truth.
About modding, I wasn't knocking you for being less modded...I knocked you for how many times you've claimed you've painted entire cars, and done motor swaps and installed 6 different speakers in your read deck leading you to the famous 25 minute swap, and all the other things you were going to do...new clutch for no reason or because your spidey senses told you it was slipping...removing the frosted diffuser, but ended up being too much work, contacting Bruce for some modded red tails that I'm sure never happened, color changing leds, chrome covering your projector ring and creating a solid piece for the turn signal. Supercharging, slave cylinder mod? You never did any of it...so what have you done then? What are you really good at? What are you the authority on? Where do you have the audacity to come into acurazine and correct and be a prick to people that are here to help others that have done things themselves and tried things for themselves and know that some stuff, not all, will work from experience. It's pompous, and I'm not going to be bullied by someone like that.
So yes, petty as fk...someone not knowing when to use then/than or misspelling a bunch of stuff, like i've said before, I try and correct if the person wants to learn...i don't mess with 2nd language english members...and when i do correct, you taking the approach of not caring about how you spell stuff won't be tolerated from someone that tries to come across like a knowitall. You either have all the answers and speak properly, or show some humility and admit that you don't know everything.
When will you learn humility? Giving credence to the other side of an argument. Taking the time to realize you might be wrong in how you're perceiving something...even here you felt the need to edit and make the claim that nothing you said was fallible.
Just like you making the claim that I wasn't as evolved as you or as secure with myself because I'm not, nor will I ever LIKELY (see that, room for error) be willing to having anyone else fk my wife to be. I don't judge you for it...but you certainly seem to judge others for not liking it too.
Want an infallible fact? You're not a good person and bordering on a sociopath. I don't need anyone to back me on that, but I'm sure they would.

OMG J. Lol
I'm the one who needs to learn humility? Do you hear yourself or see what you are typing?
I quoted everything you said that was pertinent to the topic at hand. You were wrong on EVERY SINGLE THING. Not part, not up for interpretation, but everything.
I'm not sure why you think your isolated incident meant every Acura dealer was doing that. If I had to guess, I'd say the steering wheels were the last piece of the puzzle to be made. They had the body kit and suspension and thought they would put it on the "sportier" TLs to drive early sales. Meaning, people who would buy a 4 door family sedan in a manual would want the body kit and suspension. Thus, you got parts but not all and they weren't officially allowed to call it "ASPEC" because it was incomplete. Hell, I'd almost say if they did that they could have gotten in trouble for it.![2 Cents](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/2cents.gif)
However, in early 2003 I could have ordered a base or TL sport (manual), with the ASPEC package. Manual or automatic IT DID NOT MATTER. Aren't there different suspension parts numbers for the manual and automatic suspensions anyway? Isn't that enough proof?
I found Acura press releases to prove you are wrong. I bumped this thread to prove you are wrong. I've got PDFs of brochures to prove you are wrong.
Let me quote myself, AGAIN
And quit going to grammar and spelling man. You make yourself look, how did you put it, petty? You do realize I troll the fuck out of you with that right? I've done it in every post I've made in this thread except this one.

TL sports are manual base TLs. They came with some nice performance options. ASPEC was a package that was dealer installed and warranted. ASPEC could go on automatics or TL sports. There are bases, base navs, sports, sport navs, sport summer tires, etc. Just go look at an oem parts site. It breaks it down accordingly. Sport does not equal ASPEC and ASPEC does not equal Sport.

And damn I missed an entire paragraph!
How on earth would you know what mods I have or haven't done since we last talked? And trying to be cool and put someone down on an assumption like that?
Remind me never to be on your debate team.

I'm still here. Mine's an '06 bought in '05 so I wasn't one of the preorder people.
I don't know what all of the drama is about, I guess I missed that thread but this Chad that we're talking about, is it the one who loves to argue even though he doesn't know shit, Chad05TL or something like that?
