So it lasted 1879 miles...

without a stone chip but I now have two on my '06 NBP!

Sad day for me.

I have been driving it for the past few weeks to work and I have been extremely careful not drive too close to any car in front of me. Never get behind an 18 wheel or tri-axle vehicles and sure enough when I got home tonight, I noticed I have 2 small chips (1 on the hood, 1 on the front bumper).

Damn!

I have a daily driver (94 Accord) that I usually drive but the wifey has been using it to try and save some fuel $$$ over the Pathfinder she normally drives.

Ahhh I guess it was only a matter of time but damn I hate to see it happen.

Just venting.

I know I could buy a clear bra but I have always been hesitant about the application, installation and cost of them.

Thanks for listening.

yea I feel your pain!!! I drive around 100-200 miles a week on my TL, and the front is starting to look "not so new". Granted I have 42k on mine, but I drive just like you do, very carefully. I guess this is going to happen, as it is my daily. I will have the front end repainted in the next year or so....

Drive the Accord more

i too feel your pain. My front end is destroyed. I live in wisconsin, but for the past month I have been out here in Colorado, and my TL has definitely taken a severe beating. I am driving back on saturday, probably get my front bumper repainted, touch up the chips in the hood and fenders, wet sand them, buff them, then have the clear bra applied before next winter!

Clear bra = best mod I've done to my car yet. I put it on probably 6 months after I got my NBP. There were actually a couple tiny blemishes already on my frontend when I put it on. Now I never worry about the front end. Its even saved my paint from cats' claws when they climbed on my hood. I have some ugly scratches on my clear bra, but I have peace of mind that my paint is still perfect underneath. I do have two nasty rock chips on my hood about 6 inches above the clear bra though. If possible, I would have had them go up higher on the hood with the clear bra. The standard is about 12 inches up from the front of the hood.

I know how you feel. The front of my car has gotten so many chips on them that I have no idea how the hell they had gotten there. The first chip bothered me the most, but now that there are a lot, it doesn't bother me quite as much. I'll touch it up later. And if it's really bad, I'll get it repainted later on.

Good luck.

It's so hard to avoid them... unless you have the clear bra of course like stated before.

I feel your pain I have a nbp TL also, and mine has sooo many dead bugs and rock chips on the front bumper that it is unbelievable. The good thing is that I found a paint defect on the front bumper and I showed it to the Acura dealer. They tried to get it out but said that it was behind the clear coat. I have to take my car back in when the Acura representative is their and show it to him so hopefully I will get my bumper re-painted by Acura. As soon as that happenes, I will get the 3m bra put on so I dont have to get it painted again in the future.
