So I ran over a curb yesterday....
...and scratched the hell out of the plastic piece under the driver's side front door. I would post a pic, but it wouldn't matter; you can't see the scratches when you look at the car. However, I know that they are there and it kind of drives me nuts.
Sounds idiotic, and perhaps it is, but I'm so anal about the car that I'm thinking of having the pastic piece replaced. It's really scratched up, but all of the scratches are underneath the car. I there anyone else who is as anal as me and would get it replaced?

I prolly have got dozen of scratches here and there in the past 13 months... I do feel extremely bad in the first day and think of replacing it every day and night, but it doesn't matter now after I got the 2nd/3rd scratch...

I have curb rashes like no other, it was when I was first getting use to a larger car.. now I get none. I use to stress about it, but these will be my winter wheels, so all is well

If this is the picture of what you need, you might want to learn to live with those scratches, or find a cheaper way to get them repaired.
You cannot buy just one, they come in a complete set. Check out the price for the set.

Whoa. They are expensive. I scratched up the same piece, but I got the A-Spec kit after so it did get replaced.
Personally, I would say live with it, it is bound to happen. Or get the A-Spec kit, your car looks slightly meaner and the piece is replaced...

People who know me well say i am the most anal they have ever seen. And even with that reputation i wouldnt get it fixed, if you cant see it, then no one will know its there. I had a huge scrach on the top of my roof on my previouse vehicle, and since i couldnt see it, adventually i forgot it was even there. Give it a while and maybe you will end up doing the same!

This is indeed the part that was scratched. I was just laughed at by some co-workers when I described how much a scratch on the bottom of my car was bugging me. Someone suggested the "two month rule": if you are still bugged after two months, then have it fixed.

What color is your car?
Those Factory Side Skirts are REPLACED by the A-Spec ones, whereas the front and rear lower spoilers go on top the Factory peice. If you know of any A-Spec's in your color in your area, the owner might have the original skirts.
I have both side skirts for my ABP sitting in a box in my garage right now.

Well I guess my hint was blatant enough.
I would price out the repair/replacement from both, but if they want alot of $$ for the part (I didnt look at the quote online above) then I would ask around to see who has a matching side skirt they are willing to sell. Anyone withthe full Body Kit or Full A-Spec kit should have the part, but not everyone bothered to ask for it back.

I'd be more "anal" about my money, personally. If the only way someone will ever see it is if you (a) run over them or (b) flip the car, I wouldn't worry about it.

I have been saying for a long time that these come in a complete set, but I was looking for something today and found that you can indeed buy them separately. Here's the link.
List price $73.40 front, $55.95 rear, painted.

This is the original reference I gave, where they come as a complete set for $415.00. Comparing the two pictures, they look a little different, which makes me wonder if this set could be the A-Spec and the top reference the original equipment items. Anybody know?
